A stupid question

Thanks for your reply above !
I like the look of the Crocs strapped clog. Which is better, the one with or without the vent holes? Do you wear them with our without socks?

I am mostly on my feet for 12 hour shifts and I wear the crocs with holes in them (with socks), I got mine from a uniform catalog but I have seen them way cheaper at walmart and payless shoes. They are very comfortable (way better than gym shoes IMHO) and I like the holes because my feet can "breathe" while I'm working. I have seen other people wear them without socks, however.

I wear mine without socks. I HATE socks normally anyway (hate shoes too - would go barefoot 24/7 if I could). I wear crocs with the holes, without socks and feel like I'm barefoot walking in them - the next best thing to no shoes. Actually better than no shoes, because of the support and cushion (and no hot pavement).

I like the ones with holes because as was said before they let your feet breath. Crocs are awesome and very comfy. I got mine at a store called Journeys. :thumbsup2

Crocs are wonderful! I have the ones with holes and wear them with socks at work, but sometimes at home without. They are so comfortable. I have heard that the cheaper knockoffs at Payless etc. are not as comfy, but I don't know that from personal experience. I'd do a commercial for Crocs if they'd let me. They're awesome! :goodvibes

yeah, the crocs are wonderful! They are awesome! They are so comfy, I think everyone should have a pair! I think you went overboard when someone said they hate shoes.. i mean atleast have 1 pair of sneakers! LOL Well, this has nothing to do with the subject, but once in a game I went to "jail" for putting a bomb in someone's pants  Well, yeah, the crocs are wonderful!

I saw them, "Crocs", on this site and first I ordered 2 pair then I went to their web-site, crocs.com, and found a store close to me (for me that's Hallmark's) and I bought 2 additional "beach" styles and 1 pair of athens. I love them. If you are going to WDW any time soon I understand that there is a Croc store right in the airport at Orlando.

Just so you know, the ones at WalMart and Payless are "knock-offs", and don't feel the same as genuine Crocs. That's why they are cheaper. I have problems with my feet, and I can tell the difference in brands.

Plus, didn't you know -there's no such thing as a stupid question, especially when the "search" isn't working? :rotfl:

Shoebuy.com still has the cayman crocs in lime green in sizes 5-8 at $33.00. But they have a coupon code ICE7463 for 10.00 off (good thru 10/31) bringing them to 23.00 and if you register you get another % off making them around $20.00. They also have the lime green baggalini.

Thanks to Keishashadow for all the info.

First let me say that I am a 43 old male, and I swore many times the only way my feet would go into something that ugly and made out of plastic would be if the undertaker dressed me in them. Then my wife bought a pair of the Beach series in brown for me, and silver for herself.
They still are the ugliest things to ever be called shoes (and I lived throught the '70s), but I have to admit that they are every bit as comfortable as they are ugly. We just got back from a day at Universal Studios Hollywood, and I wore them all day. The most comfortable shoes ever. And this may just be me, but I feel much more stable in them than tennis shoes and the like. I think they disperse your weight more evenly across your whole foot.

The other thing I noticed, was that more than a few other people were wearing them. In fact, we even saw 2 places (1 in citywalk, and one in the park proper) selling them. So the word is out it would seem

I can agree 100% that the payless knock-offs that look like the crocs are not even close to the level of comfort that the true Crocs give. The soles are much softer in the crocs, and spread out the weight better

I haven't bought a pair yet because they are sooo UGLY But, I keep going to the store to try them on. They are sooooo comfy!! I'm sure I'll have at least one pair before my upcoming trip to the WORLD. :thumbsup2

I do have to say that some of them are cute. :thumbsup2 I guess I'm just to vain when it comes to the way my feet look in shoes. But... the comfort level is starting to overcome my vainess (is that a word?) :rotfl2:

I just got my first pair (pink!) on Monday and wore them all day yesterday. They are SO comfy! I will get more. I did the deal on Shoebuy and they arrived really quickly!

OMG! If the Payless Airwalks aren't as comfy as real Crocs, I'll be walking on clouds if I get the real thing!!! Absolutely NO sarcasm here - I LOVE my Airwalks! I don't think the Walmart version is as comfortable; they're certainly not as flexible.

And thank YOU for reposting it here! I'm off to buy some Crocs...

Can I wear Croc's to Disney for my 2/07 trip or do most of you wear them only during the hot months? I know people wear Birkies all year round with socks. Can you wear Crocs all year too, or are they just for warm weather? I'm also going to check them out. We have Dick's and Journeys near us and they both sell Crocs.

I heard so much hoopla regarding Crocs before our DW trip last year that I went to buy some the day before we left. I ended up getting the generic version at Payless. Oh my gosh, they were so hideously ugly...but the comfort! It was like walking barefoot on clouds :sunny: . You know how they say never wear a pair of shoes for a long time until they've been broken in? Well I wore them the whole four days nonstop. I had taken along my tennis shoes but never even considered changing into them. My feet normally hurt when I stand around or walk a lot but I had no problem going from sun-up til sundown in these babies. And when a big downpour hit as we were leaving MK one night, I was the only one in my party who didn't have to deal with wet socks and shoes. The water ran in, the water ran back out, and because they're waterproof they just dried right up. Whereas everyone else's shoes were still wet the next morning.
I wore them all summer, in the fall, through the winter (with socks!), and by spring had to replace them. So I kept my old pair around for house shoes, and wear the newer pair out and about. :teeth:

My wife wore socks with her's all day yesterday and although I poked fun at her all day for doing so, she suffered no ill effects and said they were very comfy.

Which style do you all wear? I can't quite get over the "ugly factor" of the original "clog" style (beach or cayman I think). Could deal with the open toe type (Nile) and think the flip flops (Athens) are really cute. Anyone have experience with the last two types? I'm getting down to the wire (o.k. not really) on my September 22 trip and still have no shoes that will help with shin splints and hip pain from all that walking. Crocs sound like the answer. :thumbsup2

Alright, I got all caught up in this tread and didn't look any further. There is another thread that give two opinions of the "Nile" crocs. I think I'm ordering through shoebuy. With the dicounts and free return its a no lose deal.
