Debi,
As a newbie to PinPics I just want to fill you in on a few facts so you don't get discouraged.
When you submit a trade request you are proposing a possible trade to an unknown person. You can verify the PinPics ids of the people you are sending offers to, but until you've been trading for awhile, those names won't mean much to you.
After you submit a trade request the chances are very good that you will not get a response at all. I find that if I've sent out 30 to 40 offers, I may get 3 or 4 responses. I do not interpret this as rudeness, although some do. Since I am also the recipient of a large number of offers each day I find I do not have the time to reply to everyone.
Some of the responses you get will be "no thanks" and the other person has not even included the nature of the original offer so you have no way of knowing what trade they are rejecting. Personally, I think these are ruder than no response at all.
Eventually you will get some people who are interested in the offer you have proposed. When I send an acceptance I always add the phrase, "if you are still interested." Sometimes they offered the same pin to several people (PinPics does that automatically) so they've already finalized a trade before they get my response.
Then, when I've said yes and they've said yes, we exchange addresses. It seems like a lot of trouble, but when those LBEs (little brown envelopes) start appearing in your mailbox, it's worth it.
Happy Trading,
Cynthia
