A Stringbean, a Wingnut, and a plan! (A January '12 PTR) TRIP REPORT STARTED!! 1/16!!

Well it IS a cute plate. I might have to stop at Target :rolleyes1

Your Least Favorite Attraction: Mission: SPACE
I did this ride when it was only the crazy orange (orange is the insane side right?) and I was so dizzy/sick afterwards that I'm afraid to do the tame green side.

Your Favorite WDW Dessert: 'Ohana bread pudding served a la mode with Bananas and Caramel Sauce!!
Ok I'll definitely have to try the Napoleon just so I can see what all your raving is about! :thumbsup2

I haven't made it to Target, but I did get a couple of Disney items at Kroger the other day.

Agreed. I like Stitch, but that attraction was a flop, in my opinion. I left the 'ride' thinking it was the pre-ride show and we were about to get to the good stuff. Little did I know, the whole thing was over.

I love that everyday places (Walgreens too!) has Disney stuff. It's fun being able to pick out little Mickey trinkets and stuff, especially for the holidays and stocking stuffers, while home!

:lmao: That's too funny that you thought the ride was the pre-show! That whole "ride" was just sort of wrong, I think!

Cute little dish. I had the choice between going in Target or TJ Maxx this weekend and I picked TJ Maxx. Now I'm wondering why?

Favorite dessert - I really don't have one. I know its crazy, but I think if I try yours from the bakery in france I may actually find it. ;)

Least favorite attraction - OK, I hope I don't get flamed for this but I really DON't like the country bear jamboree. I've only seen it once and it was painful.

Thanks!! Hahahaha I feel like I end up at Target every weekend for something or another! They have great prices on dried pasta and rice side dishes, so Wingnut and I are always stocking up there. They also carry other great nonperishables like Indian simmer sauces (their Archer Farms brand is really good).

Definitely give it a try! It isn't like a "real-world normal" Napoleon, I actually am not a big fan of those, but these are just creamy and flaky and wonderful.

:rotfl: You, Wingnut, and my mom hate the Country Bears! My dad and I delight in their corny humor (and that making my mom watch it drives her nuts!). I haven't seen it in years though. I think with the amount of trouble I have getting Wingnut to go to the Carousel of Progress, I'll NEVER get him into the Country Bear Jamboree!

Super cute! I have no problem with the Disney decor, I happen to own disney pizza plates, the ones shaped like a triangle, so I know the disney dish love! Ack, 55 days! With it going into the holiday season, it will pass so fast!

I love those pizza plates! They're so cute, but I thought they'd be impractical to store! (That's also the fate that the Mickey ear plates and bowl with feet met as well. :sad2:)

I know, it's already coming up so soon! :yay:

Least Favorite attraction....Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. I just don't like it, it confuses me and I think because we rode Toy Story Mania before Buzz that it just doesn't compare in our eyes.

Favorite Dessert...hmmmmm. I have to think about this one. I'm going to say the strawberry cheesecake they used to have at Brown Derby, they may still have it seasonally but it was soooooooo delicious!

I want to like Buzz, but I think I'm with you on that one, just for the fact that I'm absolutely TERRIBLE at that ride, and I can barely get any points at all. Seriously, my scores are always so pathetic, and it doesn't help that I like to talk a big game about my mad skills while in line.

One of these days, I'm going to have to go to the Brown Derby, you always make it sound so good! Mmm...cheesecake. Have you tried the cheesecake brownies from the Boardwalk Bakery??? :cloud9:

super cute plate! I think I may need to stop by that aisle later today when I hit up Target. I think that would make a cute plate for the cookies for Santa.

Least favorite thing at Disney? not sure about that....I'm usually pretty happy in Disney so it makes it hard to think up one.

Favorite dessert? toss up between the Napolean (my husband is obsessed with that), the bananas foster bread pudding at Ohana and the various cupcakes that can be found on property.

Thanks!! It would make a cute plate for Santa! They have a couple of different designs there.

That's definitely a fair answer! You really aren't ever having TOO bad a time at Disney! :rotfl:

Yea for the Napoleon!! :thumbsup2 Oooh I've never tried the bread pudding from Ohana, but it looks awesome.

So thought I would let you know that while I did hit up Target yesterday, I didn't get that exact plate. I did get the Mickey head shaped plate for our little girl, another fun plate that said "Cookies for Santa," and a Mickey Christmas shirt.

Okay, I replied to this yesterday but my computer froze when I hit submit. I hoped it went through, but obviously it didn't. So...

Favorite Dessert is definitely Strawberry Shortcake from Sunshine Seasons. It would be hard for any other restaurant on earth to beat that one.

Least Favorite ride is tough, but I think I'll pick Dinosaur. It's just too loud and jerky and kind of pointless. I'm glad I tried it, but I probably won't ride it again for a long, long time.

Is it strange that I have actually never eaten at Sunshine Seasons?? I guess I'm always "places to go, rides to ride" when I'm at the Land pavillion, between Soarin' and Living with the Land! (Hey, that's a front-list attraction to me! :rotfl:)

Yeah, I'm not too big a fan of Dinosaur either. I feel like it could be such a cooler ride if it didn't make you feel like you needed a chiropractor after riding it!

Yay for cute new holiday stuff...double yay when it's Disney! :yay:

Least favorite thing at Disney: Hall of Snoozidents. I hadn't seen it in YEARS, so I ducked in while I was at MK last Sunday. Nice place for a nap! :faint: Still, even though I'm sure the space could be used for something better, I kinda hate the idea of it going away. :confused3

Best dessert: I had a white chocolate slipper once, and it was so good that I'm afraid to have another one for fear it won't live up to my memory. :rotfl:

Hahaha exactly!! It's been fun this year, we've gotten to do a lot of holiday decoration shopping because it's our first year living together!

Yeah. I once went to Disney with someone that INSISTED we go see the Hall of Presidents. Fun times. :rolleyes1  (The high point of that was that the show wasn't going to start for a few minutes, so I got one of those yummy funnel cakes from Sleepy Hollow! :rotfl:)

No, those white chocolate slippers are awesome!!! Wingnut got me one on our last trip, and I've already been "hinting" (i.e.: flat out telling him) that I want another this time around too! They're so pretty and fun!! (And when it was brought to the table, we got all of these stares too, which added to the fun!)

Your trip is coming up fast! My countdown hit the 40's today, which means we're just seven weeks out... :faint: When I say seven weeks, I get a little nervous because I still feel like I have wayyyy too much to do!

Favorite dessert: my mom got a lemon tart from Boulangerie Patisserie and it was sooooo good! Enough that I regretted mine (I can't even remember what it was :rotfl:) and really wished I had gone with the lemon tart.

Least favorite attraction is definitely Stitch's Great Escape. I went on it on our last trip because my dad and my sister convinced me it was really fun and really cute. I of course had read the DIS and everything that said otherwise, but I decided to judge it myself. The combination of being in the pitch dark, with loud, unexpected noises, and the feeling of being restrained by that stupid harness was just too much for me. At least I can say I tried it and have a reason for never going on again

Yay for your countdown being even closer!!! Don't be nervous! Everything will get done! :goodvibes

While I do love a good lemon tart, I just think it would go against every fiber of my being to go to Boulangerie and NOT get the Napoleon. Maybe I could convince Wingnut to order one...:rolleyes1.

Ugh, isn't it awful?? I do love that your sister tried convincing you by telling you it was "really cute" though :rotfl: Definitely NOT!

Well it IS a cute plate. I might have to stop at Target :rolleyes1

Your Least Favorite Attraction: Mission: SPACE

Hahahahaha sorry to add another place to your shopping list! I'm a bad influence, I know!

OMG Mission: Space. I can't even fathom going on the crazy orange side. We did the wimpy green side and Wingnut felt SO nauseous afterwards. I think it's because the screen is thisclose to your eyes. Never again for us!

Do you think I can just wander over to 'Ohana and get bread pudding? It sounds so good! You definitely have to try the Napoleon, it's such a wonderful treat!

Haha, I have been addicted to those napoleons since forever. I am often guilty of casually heading us over to the WS to get one, even when we've either JUST eating or are JUST about to eat. A day at Epcot is not complete without one. YUM.

And though I am tempted to get upset when I hear that the hilarious Country Bear Jamboree is on a 'least favorite' list ;) , I can't get too upset... my least favorite is one of the most popular rides in WDW. I just don't get Soarin' :confused3 But I also LOVE Mission:Space Orange and don't really see what's so special about Toy Story Mania, so clearly my brain is not wired the same

... my least favorite is one of the most popular rides in WDW. I just don't get Soarin' :confused3

You're not alone...we hyped Soarin' to my brother for WEEKS before our last family trip. He gets off and goes "That's all it is? I don't get it." :confused3 His favorit is RnR. Good thing there's something for everyone at WDW!

So thought I would let you know that while I did hit up Target yesterday, I didn't get that exact plate. I did get the Mickey head shaped plate for our little girl, another fun plate that said "Cookies for Santa," and a Mickey Christmas shirt.

Hang on, hang on...Mickey Christmas shirts at Target??? I'm there!! (again!) :rotfl:

Haha, I have been addicted to those napoleons since forever. I am often guilty of casually heading us over to the WS to get one, even when we've either JUST eating or are JUST about to eat. A day at Epcot is not complete without one. YUM.

Aren't they awesome? Oh I will come up with any excuse to casually stroll past France while in Epcot!

I love Soarin', I love the music, I listen to it all the time in my car, but I will say that the ride is MUCH too short for all of the
A: hype it gets
B: walking you have to do to get ONTO the ride!

Did you know the queue for Soarin' is a quarter mile long! (Yes, another useless Disney fact I know!) That's a lot of walking for a 4 minute ride!

Wingnut isn't a huge fan of Soarin' either, but he goes on it for me, and I do try to point out the fun things ("smell the oranges!") to him as well.

I've actually never been on TSM!!! The line has just always been too long! But my parents went to Disney in September and RAVED about it, so I'm really going to try to see this one this time around!

You're not alone...we hyped Soarin' to my brother for WEEKS before our last family trip. He gets off and goes "That's all it is? I don't get it." :confused3 His favorit is RnR. Good thing there's something for everyone at WDW!

I made the mistake of hyping up Finding Nemo: The Musical to Wingnut on our last trip. That, combined with a really not-great day at Animal Kingdom, well, he wasn't that impressed lol.

There definitely is something for everyone at Disney! :yay: Which is probably why we all love it so much!

Middle of the day update brought to you by the (we're thinking) pulled muscle in my back. It doesn't even have a cool epic story to go along with it. I was putting a plate into the dishwasher.

Lame. :sad2:

Combine this with me accidentally scratching myself on a frozen (BONELESS) roast beef earlier in the week, and well, clearly, a domestic goddess I am not.

I do have some redeeming qualities though!

...I'm pretty sure I do...

I am a somewhat okay baker. Meaning that I can whip up a mean dessert if I have a reliable recipe to follow and it doesn't involve anything terrifying like boiling sugar or making a pie crust.

(Don't even TALK to me about baking a cheesecake.)

But there's a brownie recipe that I've made several times that's pretty awesome. (And I know that just sounds self-praising to say that about something that I made, but they really are good, and I know it isn't anything amazing or special I do, it's ALL the recipe.)

If you like brownies and malted milk ball candies, you MUST make these. Everyone will love them and you'll be praised and will feel only slightly guilty that you stockpiled away a healthy portion of the brownies before serving them.

(You guys do that, right?)

I plan to make these for Thanksgiving, in part because they're awesome, and also in part because I still have a ton of leftover Halloween candy.

(It's about 50/50, the reasoning behind this particular madness.)

Here's the recipe, courtesy of Good Housekeeping.

But I didn't just come here to write about brownies. Or maybe I did. Either way, well, bringing it back to Disney now!

I upgraded my phone (to an HTC Inspire) last weekend, and have been having lots of fun playing with the camera.

It amuses me to use the vintage-y filters on pictures of computers.

Also fun about this phone: apps!

Me: Name a Disney ride!
Wingnut: Um. Haunted Mansion.
Me: The wait time is 20 minutes!

:upsidedow

(Right now the wait for Soarin' is 35 minutes.)

(Poor Carousel of Progress. Only a 5 minute wait.)

(Yes, I am very easily amused.)

How about some more Q&A?

Day 21: Your Favorite Character to See in the Park

Wingnut and I really aren't character-seeking people, but I would love to meet Phineas and Ferb!

Day 22: Your Favorite Parade

Wingnut and I also aren't really parade people either. (Boy, we just sound like lots of fun, don't we!) But I do have a special fondness for the Tapestry of Nations parade, circa 2000, that went around (where else) the World Showcase.

Does anyone else remember this parade? Wasn't it fantastic?? The parade itself was really fun and festive, the music was gorgeous, and I'd be thrilled if it ever made a reappearance.

How about you guys? What are you making for Thanksgiving? Favorite characters/parades?

I'm so not a baker. I used to make a lot more but over the last few years I have gotten lazier with my cooking. Ahhh well.

I would like to know the wait time for Peter Pan please and thank you.

My favorite character to see in the park is Mary Poppins, she is practically perfect in every way. :lovestruc

My favorite parade so far is Spectromagic, I just love the music and lights.

So sorry about your injuries, I once pulled a muscle in my back by swiveling off my chair the wrong way. For I am smooth like that.

Character to meet? I really like Chip and Dale, the people who do these guys seem to really get the mischeiviosness of the characters. Last time I went I had long curly hair, and they liked to play with it.

Parade? MSEP. Totally from memories of childhood, and a major love of Pete's Dragon. Elliott!

We always have Thanksgiving at my Aunt & Uncle's, I am providing Cooked Carrots and Butternut Squash.

I am a good cook. So much so that my roommate and I hold a friend's holiday feast yearly so we can make all the food, and all the new recipes we find throughout the year. We also do a baking day of cookies to give to people.

Want to really hate me, I also hand make my Christmas cards.

Sorry about your back, Sara:sad2:! At first I was thinking maybe you had a dream about Dinosaur and pulled it in your sleep. Dishwasher is even better. Pretty darn amazing:lmao:! Sounds like your domestic skills are right on par with mine.

For Thanksgiving? I'm making nothing. I *might* make some dairy-free food to take for Brynn to our family's feast, but my mom actually might have that covered. If not, Amy's Frozen Dairy-Free/Gluten-Free Rice Mac-and-Cheese in the microwave it is! I know you have to be impressed with those mad skills.
In all seriousness, I made Monkey Bread last night for Julia's school brunch today. Who can screw up Monkey Bread, right? (Hint: This lady.)

On to the questions!

Favorite Character to Meet in the Parks: Mickey himself. You'll see why in my next update.:lovestruc
BTW, I thought of you when we met P&F, of course!

Favorite Parade: SpectroMagic. And I'm a little bitter about it not being there now. Maybe more than a little bitter. Maybe a lot bitter. Honesty is the best policy.

Feel better! I'd suggest alternating heat and ice, but you might just cut yourself on it:lmao:.

I was just checking in and ....WOW .... your PTR is FORTY pages !! Outstanding !! So sorry about your back. I have some pretty bad back problems so I totally know how you feel. Muscle relaxers help with a pulled muscle. They make you stupid, but it helps with the pain. I hope it is all better for your trip so Wingnut won't have to push you in the wheelchair again :lmao: Have you been to the doctor ?? Back pain is the worst !! Get better soon !!

Favorite Character .... well she isn't at the parks, but my favorite Disney Character is Edna Mode from the Incredibles. She completely cracks me up. No capes !! Fav. Character in the parks is Stitch.

Favorite Parade ..... Boo to You. Love it. I can't wait to see the AK Jammin Jingle Parade next week though. I love the regular AK parade, so the Christmas-y one should be cute.

Thanksgiving will be spent at Magic Kingdom and dinner at Garden Grill. Don't hate.

Owie, your poor back! I once hurt my back getting in the car. And I wasn't even hood slidin' like Bo Duke. I was just getting in like like I always do. So I can identify with your dishwasher injury.

ETA: The best thing I make for Thanksgiving is reservations (somebody had to say it). Seriously, pumpkin roll and squash casserole. Not necessarily to be served together. Unless you like that sort of thing!

Favorite parade: SpectroMagic...and the Villains parade. Cruella and I once shared a moment. Good times.

Favorite character meet: I want to meet Sully! Meeting Lady Tremaine and the wicked stepsisters was a hoot and my favorite so far. Until I meet Sully.

Don't try to be brave...take some muscle relaxers for your back. Feel better!!

Wow, sorry about your back, that sucks! And...I'm not really sure how you managed to get injured by a roast beef, but I hope you recover soon! :goodvibes

I love baking! I LOVE making cheesecakes, that's my signature Christmas dessert! :thumbsup2 Those brownies sound amazing!

Haha, I love the wait times apps! When I'm at work, I always look at them to amuse myself, and wonder how the wait times are for TSM and Soarin...if they are short, I get really excited.

Wow. Lame. :sad2:

Moving on.

Hmm, my favorite character to see in the parks is probably Marie. I've met her 4 times, and that's the most out of any character, so I'll go with her!

And my favorite parade is definitely the Once Upon a Christmastime parade, I love everything about it! :lovestruc

I do like malted milk balls, so I will have to give those brownies a try. :thumbsup2

I usually cut the edges off of the brownies for us to munch on and just plate the pretty ones to take somewhere. ;)

Sorry about the pulled muscle. I did that once when I was cleaning out my laundry room, and whatever it did made me so 'caddywampus' inside that I could hardly breathe. I was gasping for breath, and I honestly thought for a few minutes I had punctured a lung or something. It was the weirdest thing! I had to just lay on the couch for a while until the 'episode' was over. I have never experienced that again, thankfully!

I hope your back is feeling better. One word - situps! When you are feeling better. Supposed to make your abds stronger so you don't hurt your back.

I am intrigued by this brownie recipe and anything that makes me look like a better baker - well, I'm all for that!

I love that phone app. I actually should start looking at it again to amuse myself in the days leading up to my trip. It will be fun to look at on Thanksgiving and pity the people in those lines! :rotfl:

I'm so not a baker. I used to make a lot more but over the last few years I have gotten lazier with my cooking. Ahhh well.

My favorite parade so far is Spectromagic, I just love the music and lights.

Haha I'm all about a baking shortcut. Usually I make those brownies with a box mix (shhhh :rolleyes1)

The Peter Pan's Flight wait is currently at 45 minutes. :thumbsup2

I do love seeing Mary Poppins walking around, she just looks so proper next to everyone else in t-shirts and shorts .

Want to really hate me, I also hand make my Christmas cards.

Oooh ouch! Yeah, back pain is never fun!

Awww yeah Chip and Dale are always so much fun! They kept giving me high-fives when Wingnut was pushing me around the parks in the wheelchair! :goodvibes

MSEP also does have the childhood memory thing going for it for me too! But that music does get to be a little bit...much....

Mmm sounds very good! (And very orange!)

Showoff!!! :rotfl: I'm kidding, that's awesome that you are able to cook/decorate like that! I wish I could, I just stick tape or frosting on places and hope it works out for the best!

Sorry about your back, Sara:sad2:! At first I was thinking maybe you had a dream about Dinosaur and pulled it in your sleep. Dishwasher is even better. Pretty darn amazing:lmao:! Sounds like your domestic skills are right on par with mine.

Feel better! I'd suggest alternating heat and ice, but you might just cut yourself on it:lmao:.

LOL thank you!! I have been avoiding ice, but not because of safety concerns! :rotfl: Heat pads and hot showers have been working pretty well, I think it's starting to get a bit better, thank goodness!

Dishwasher. I know, right??? It couldn't have been something even more SLIGHTLY interesting like reaching into the fridge for juice or something!

Awww I like the Amy's mac & cheese! Thanksgiving seems like a holiday that the dairy-free might be *slightly* easier to work around (turkey, cranberry sauce, veggies, etc).

Did I ever tell you about the time that I totally and completely messed up Monkey Bread? I think I skimped too much on the butter (Paula Deen would be very disappointed, I know ), and it just turned out to be a row of very dry bland scone-like lumps. I THEN tried to repurpose it into bread pudding, which wasn't horrible, just EXTREMELY dense. So you are definitely not alone with that one!

I'm excited to see your Mickey update!! Awww I can't wait to see those guys in the park, they seem like they'd be fun!

Hahaha that's okay, I'm a lot bitter that Tapestry of Nations is gone.

I was just checking in and ....WOW .... your PTR is FORTY pages !! Outstanding !! So sorry about your back. I have some pretty bad back problems so I totally know how you feel. Muscle relaxers help with a pulled muscle. They make you stupid, but it helps with the pain. Hahaha I actually just noticed that the other day, like "wow, I've been rambling for this many pages!"

Thanks!! I've been taking Advil, which is helping a lot - the pulled muscle definitely is nowhere near as bad as some people's back pain is! - and resting and putting heat on it. I'm noticing a bit of improvement, which is good! No doctor at this point, if it gets worse during the week I'll see though!

Edna truly is hilarious - I was just watching the "no capes!" clip the other day!

I've only seen the Boo to You parade on videos, but that one does look like a great parade. That song is REALLY catchy!

What a cool way to spend Thanksgiving! :goodvibes I just noticed you guys leave in 2 days - have a fantastic trip!!!

Owie, your poor back! I once hurt my back getting in the car. And I wasn't even hood slidin' like Bo Duke. I was just getting in like like I always do. So I can identify with your dishwasher injury.

It's so annoying when you get hurt doing something so mundane! Like "I've put plates in the dishwasher 4000 times before, what is this???".

(I told Wingnut about your hood slidin' reference, and he contends that T.J. Hooker has the better hood slide.)

LOL see, I don't even attempt to make any of the main-dish staples on Thanksgiving! I make the unrelied on brownies! :rotfl: I think that pumpkin roll and squash casserole sound great! It could be interesting to serve them together in a "tribute to autumn" kind of plate!

Sully looks fun to meet because he's just huge and blue and fuzzy. Like meeting a giant blue furby. (Except not creepy!)

Thanks!! I'm starting to feel better, just on Advil thank goodness!

Wow. Lame. :sad2:

Hmm, my favorite character to see in the parks is probably Marie. I've met her 4 times, and that's the most out of any character, so I'll go with her!

And my favorite parade is definitely the Once Upon a Christmastime parade, I love everything about it! :lovestruc

Thanks!! Hahahaha I have no idea how it happened either. One second I was holding it, then I fumbled it, then I was looking for a bandaid. Apparently that beef REALLY didn't want to go in the crock-pot!

I'm intimidated by making cheesecake! The water bath thing is over my head hahaha.

I love looking at the wait times! I get excited too when the wait is really short for something, like "we could walk right on to the Haunted Mansion right now...if we weren't several states away right now.."

The toy soldiers in the Once Upon a Christmastime parade are so cute!

I had to just lay on the couch for a while until the 'episode' was over. I have never experienced that again, thankfully!

You definitely should! They're pretty rich, but they're REALLY good!

Hahaha that's what I do too! Or I'll stack them in a pyramid or some shape, and whatever's left over from that...well, it wouldn't fit with my design!

Oh wow, how scary! It's so frightening when something like that happens, like "what is going on in there???". I'm glad you were okay though, and that that didn't happen again!!

:rotfl:

Thanks!! And thanks for the suggestion! I've been looking for stretches and exercises to do, especially when it's colder out now and harder to get the motivation to walk around outside!

They're really good, and super-easy (especially if you take the even easier route of a box mix brownie - I love the Ghirardelli ones), and people LOVE them.

It's so fun to play with these apps! I never knew the app world before now! Oh man, I definitely want to see those wait times for Thanksgiving! Those can't be short!

Sorry to hear about your back! and how does one scratch themselves on a frozen roast beef? :confused3

You do have redeeming qualities! You update your PTR! There are so many that I'm subscribed to that people just give up on. Thanks for that! :thumbsup2

I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year so I'll be cooking the bird and all its trimmings! Well my mom will be bringing squash & I'll make the potatoes & green beans (easy ;)) Oh and I'm making a cheesecake but before you  its a NO BAKE cheesecake! Easy peezy lemon squeezy!

Day 21: Your Favorite Character to See in the Park - I like seeing Goofy, he's the only one taller than I am! :lmao:

Day 22: Your Favorite Parade- Spectromagic. Gives me goosebumps each time!

My first WDW trip was in 2000 and I LOVED the Tapestry of Nations parade. I had to buy the soundtrack before I left! :goodvibes

I am definitely trying a Napoleon when we go. My mom and I have plans to shop and eat around Epcot so she can get the lemon tart and I can try the Napoleon...

Oh my gosh I was so upset with my sister when we got off Stitch :lmao: That ride stressed me out so badly and I said I'd never believe her again and I should have just gone with what the DIS said about it!

Sorry to hear about your back, I hope it's better by now!

Favorite character to see in the park...never actually seen him in the park but I would LOVE to see Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh. He was my favorite when I was a child and I still love him. Favorite parade: I also LOVED the Tapestry of Nations parade. I have the soundtrack on my iPod and listen to it all the time. It was such a great parade! My favorite current (well, current-ish) parade is SpectroMagic. It's the one parade we always used to see and I just get chills when I hear "on this magic night..." :goodvibes I'm sad it probably won't be there in January but I am willing to give MSEP a chance!
