I was excited that 2 more of our dates had come up for AP rate at the HoJo so I just rang the In House Reservations number to get them applied - have been waiting to do this all day as we are 9 hours ahead in the UK.

I rang through and asked for In House reservations so they transferred me - I spoke to someone else and even asked her again, 'Is that In House Reservations?' - she asked for my booking reference and I gave her this - she then became quite irate and said it was incorrect as booking reservation numbers have 8 letters - mine had a letter and 7 numbers. Eventually she found me but at first she said I hadnt a booking! Then she said I needed to speak to In House reservations at the hotel - I told her that it who I thought I was speaking to, but she informed me that they were open Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm only and to call back tomorrow. I don't remember reading this anywhere - do you know if that is right - don't want to leave till tomorrow if they are open today. Unfortunately this person did not give me a great impression of the hotel chain, even though I now know she probably isnt based in Anaheim.

Call the HoJo in Anaheim right back but don't ask for reservations. Whomever answers the phone at the desk should be able to look up your reservation and confirm for you that it is indeed in the system. At least that will make you feel better until in house reservations can change your ressie to the Entertainment Rate tomorrow. Good luck!

Hojo in-house reservations are not open Sunday. I'm surprised the front desk didn't tell you that right away. Those hours sound right for weekdays. There are some Saturday hours, but I think they're more limited than weekday hours.

Oh, I've also noticed that in-house reservation confirmation codes are different format than those assigned with online booking through the website, so I wouldn't worry about that so much. In-house will look up your reservation by last name.

Thanks - that makes me feel better - so when you dial 714 776 6120 that is the direct dial to the hotel - I agree it's bizarre that she didn't tell me that - unless she only heard the word 'reservations' - sometimes you guys over in the States find our UK Regional accents a little difficult to understand:goodvibes

Yes, I have received 2 different confirmation numbers from them before, as well, so I wouldn't worry about it. :goodvibes I have called before and asked for in-house reservations and still gotten transferred to the main reservation number (and I have no accent!:) ). Don't let the rep you talked to sway your opinion - I have talked to them before and they are clueless about the entertainment rates the Hojo Anaheim offers and not very friendly (in my experience) either.

In-house reservations is only open during regular business hours Monday through Friday until 5pm. I have also been transferred to the regular reservations line during non-business hours and those people are clueless about the Entertainment Rate. Just call back tomorrow and make sure to talk to in-house reservations. I'm sure they'll straighten everything for you ;)

In-house reservations is open on Saturdays 9-1 in addition to 8-5 M-F.
I have spoken with them on a Saturday. Although it won't help your particular reason for calling since it will be Monday and you can call tomorrow.
Good Luck and isn't it cool to see your dates pop-up on the Ent.Rate page?!:goodvibes

No, they just lie. They've flat out told me that they are in house, when I knew they weren't (that's why I was asking). I had to ask again if they were there physically in the hotel when they finally came clean.

And this was during business hours, but, it turns out, during lunchtime, when I guess the phones can shunt over to the 800 number.

Good news - I rang back today and applied the rates to my stay - now have 4 dates at 50%:cool1: (only another 10 to go - well I can live in hope):rotfl::rotfl: The way I see it - about 3 extra Disney meals so far!

Thanks again
