A story of renewed hope & the power of Dis

It has rained here 26 out of the last 29 days. If it doesn't rain during the day it rains at night my flowers are drownding.

on a lighter note glad your DD is starting to feel better.( Dee)

I am feeling house bound and board with all this rain so going to spend time sewing I guess....lol

Dad having some not so good days lately. Sucks getting old.

Sorry to hear about this Ed.

Ruthie, I'm glad that Maxine's mud pit is drying up!

I haven't been on much lately either, but now that we're at the folks house, there aren't boxes for me to move and things to clean. Fran is napping most of the day, so I'm catching up on my DIS time!

Hi Alison :surfweb: yep been reading your posts today so good to see you having a relaxing day, I'm right there with Fran been napping off & on all day too Bodies need that..minds too, every now & then

Thanks for thoughts for Maxine, poor girl was over her hooves in mud all week, had to even cancel her hoof trim last Wed because of it and that is NOT good ( get it done every 6 to 8 weeks like clockwork)

Dee-everytime I see your ticker I think of that POP tye dye cheese cake I've yet to have :rotfl:

Shannon-oh boy rain, I am so hoping we get none this week have had enough, very depressing & that poor horse needs a break from it too saw the Minnie Mouse bag you made (on your thread )very nice

Even the dogs were sick of being in the house This is the highest energy dog in the pack Gilbert a red bone coon hound and this was him all last week (sigh)

Thank you. The rain here has been awful too. After many many years of needing a new roof. Last Monday they started it. I think they got 1 full day in. And tomorrow doesn't look good either. But, honestly as long as the humidity stays low, I am fine. Plus, my condition is affected when the air pressure changes, so for me, I would prefer it stays one particular weather pattern for a few days at a time.

I spent the weekend in Pittsburgh visiting my ds and his fiance. It rained there too. :crazy2:. We did manage to get out for lunch on Saturday. Then we came back and watched baseball for the rest of the day:rotfl:. Did I mention that my son works in the front office of the Pirates? We watched the Cardinals and the Reds and then the Pirates and switched back and forth to watch the Orioles too. I loved it!

I hope your weekend was good too!

Hi, Ruthie. Didn't get a chance to check-in this weekend on my threads as we had two weddings to attend (one more this Friday and I think we are done for the year...I hope so as Friday's is number 6! :crazy2:)

3 miles good for you ! 2 months 1 week, WOW that is coming up fast you'll be fine though I have no doubt :thumbsup2

This is the first time out in close to 2 months.

Another way to look at is 2 months 1 week to the DISmeet too. Same weekend as run. The other part i didnt say was it took 53 minutes...haha

Hey Ruthie.... 3 weeks from tomorrow & we will be in sunny (?) Fla! Can't wait to see ya. Don't panic, that is the day we get there. Dismeet is later. RIGHT?

The little one is doing better. Roofers got stuck on the roof today when the skies opened up. :scared1: We got text from DS#2 that his bedroom was soaked! yup, they had stripped it & were nailing down the roofing paper/tar paper whatever it is called that keeps the roof waterproof... and the skies opened. No serious damage. Those poor guys must have hussled to get that roof covered. Luckily we have an exposed beam & it just ran down that onto his wood floor. He does have a throw rug in there that got wet, but that will be fine & if it isn't we bought it cheap at Target, wo no big loss.

Hope you and the gang are all well. We still need to catch up on your not so wonderful weekend. :( DH is on vacation for a couple of days, but maybe I will give you a shout later this week.

Right now I think it would take me an hour to do a mile :sad2: so you're just under 20 mins per thats not bad all things considered, you have time you'll get better

Oh Ed that poor bird looks terrified :scared1:
