I went Saturday, 10/9, a holiday weekend so the park was pretty crowded. But surprisingly, they still had some openings for the dessert party when I stopped by at 7:30, just to check on what I'd need. I was supposed to check in at 9:00, but when I went back at 8:45, there was already an appreciable line. Right at 9:00 they started checking people in and the line moved fairly quickly. I was solo,
and had a lovely little table right up front-

The desserts were good, especially the pistachio creme brulee and vanilla cupcakes.

When the fireworks were about to begin, lots of people came to stand at the railing, which I kind of understand, since there were several rows of tables.

Although we weren't asked to leave after Wishes, there were no more desserts out, and here's how the area looked only 10 minutes after Wishes ended. I'd had ideas of sitting for longer til I looked around-

The view of Wishes was kind of off to the side, not the best, straight-on view.

Would I do it again? Although it was enjoyable, I don't think I'd spend the money. I'll probably go back to my old spot in Fantasyland, and get something from Mrs. Potts Cupboard beforehand. And although I'm usually perfectly comfortable dining solo (even at character meals), for some reason this one left me feeling a little uncomfortable.

Thanks for sharing your experience of the Wishes Dessert Party. Funny how everyone skedattled after the show... I think I saw a tumble-weed in your last photo :lmao:

Thanks for the review :goodvibes I'd been thinking about the dessert party for my trip this year (May) but didn't feel 'comfortable' about it so chickened out, however, I did think about it next year but TBH I'm still not comfortable with it.

I did the wishes dessert party with my mom for her birthday. I didn't care for it much either. The desserts were decent but just felt kind of rushed. I had a good time with Mommy.

Thanks for the info. It will be helpful with the planning for the next trip.

Agree. Last March I also went solo and experienced the same quick escape. What annoyed me is while I went to use the restroom, just before Wishes, my drink and barely touched desserts that were on my table were cleared away! Wishes was starting and I didn't have time to get back to the dessert table but when I did go to get more, the desserts had cleared!

Lots of money for a few nibbles. I did enjoy the view, lack of crowds and seeing Tink fly so close. Also, I was able to snap a few great photos and get a few from a PhotoPass Photographer.

Would I do it again? Probably not, but I'm glad I was able to experience it. The desserts really LOOKED yummy. ;)

Boy, that would have upset me! DON'T touch my desserts! I'm glad I didn't have to use the restroom. And when I went to get more creme brulee shortly before Wishes, they'd run out of that as well as about half the offerings.

I think you were sitting right next to me and my daughter. You look familiar. If the camera had the table to the left (your right) that was us.

OMG, what a coincidence! I must admit that I don't remember who was at the table to my right. I do remember the table to my left. They were a young couple. When I was going to take a picture of my table, the guy sitting there offered to take my picture-when I'm solo, I don't get many pictures with me in them because I'm not so forward to ask strangers to take my picture, so that was memorable. The only other thing I remember is that a gentleman in a ECV was parked by the railing. I noted that because up til that point, I hadn't seen anyone in ECVs there, and I was concerned about accessibility.

I do remember the man in the ECV. I think we had the best tables in the house. I could see most of the Electrical Parade until a group of people got up to take pictures and blocked the view for the rest of the parade.

My DD and I did get up and go to the railing, only because a lot of people started standing up in front of us and I wasn't sure we would be able to see. When the fireworks were over our table had been cleared so we just left. We were done anyway.
