Just saw this thread for the first time. I got hooked reading it and I'm about to be late for work! I'm soooo excited for you. We stayed at the Poly. once and loved it. It is my favorite resort, probably won't ever be able to afford to stay there again so we make do with visiting whenever we go to WDW- and thats okay. Hope you have a great trip and hubbie gets a little of the magic. Looking forward to your TR.

Real quick update. Made it without hitch. Got requested room facing volcano pool Allison is like me and appreciates all the Disney detail! Ian is losing his mind with excitement. David loves Poly and drinks on beach but doesn't seem to b blown away by MK (only park we did so far). Not worried though since I predict he's more of an EP or AK kind of guy anyway.

Glad you made it safely...and it sounds like those skeptics of yours have already been transformed!

Having loads of fun! So far did MK and HS. Tag along friends no problem. Whew!
Poly gorgeous. Weather perfect. Low crowds. Everything walk on but Peter pan and toy story. Don't even need FP.
Kids say everything they do is their fave! David perked up a little at HS and seemed to like that much better than MK. He's still not feeling "magic" but said the alcoholic drinks r great here and the more he drinks the better chance of feeling magic. Sci Fi was great. Luau was good too.

Laundry...yuck (but I know that will be part of my trip too...thank goodness the villas have washer/dryers)!

So great about the low crowd levels...keep giving David some more of those drinks...by the time you leave he will feel the magic... I am so glad that your kids are feeling the magic...that gives me hope for my 2 oldest!

It is sad when your HOME!!!! i came home saturday.. very sad. My Son cried!
the crowds were HORRIBLE on Saturday at MK... how was the rest of it?

I just stumbled across your pre trip planing reports and am having so much fun reading! I have been a FL resident almost my entire life and am spoiled getting to go to WDW all the time. Usually our trips are quicker 3 day trips because we can go so much. However it's been a long time since I've been for a week or more. My 11 year old daughter has never been for that long. It's also been over a year since we were there at all. So... I decided to save like crazy and go this November for a week! I'm loving seeing Disney again through your eyes. I love Disney sooooo much and it's awesome to see someone experiencing it all for the first time. I can't stop reading all your posts! I'm off to read the actual trip report now...
