Ok, so I left off talking about how I rode Space Mt. and had the loudest, crazy talking man in the world sitting behind me. I am most looking forward to doing this ride again when we go in November because it's just so foggy to me and I can't really remember much about it. I think I was just on auto-pilot by this time roaming around very very tired. After I got off of Space Mt I walked around eating my soft pretzel and taking it all in. So beautiful in Tomorrowland at night!! I really wanted to do the People Mover? thing but either didn't see where it was or got distracted. Either way, I can't wait to do that in November!
I ended up over near Hall of Presidents right about the time Electric Parade started up. I would have killed for a place to sit at this time of the night but no such luck. It was easy to get a decent spot though because I was solo so it was not too hard to squeeze in somewhere. I had to stand the whole parade and I did see some people getting a little snappy at other people. Some lady had her giant stroller parked next to them, though no kid was in it because they were holding said kid. Another random kid came up and was touching or leaning on the stroller and the owner of the stroller pushed their hand off and snapped at them. If it was my stroller, I probably would have folded it up to make more room for people but what can you do....
So, the parade was beautiful! The music was very catchy too and I cannot wait to take my family to see this. I'm really not a huge parade person but I thought this parade was fantastic. I also was impressed with the CMs and how they have it all organized and were rolling out tape to mark it off and keeping crowds out of the way. They were like a well-oiled machine!!
After the parade I had a mini-meltodown temper tantrum. I wanted to keep trucking around and doing everything and it wasn't very crowded and it was all so NEW and exciting and all I did at MK was Space Mt. and watch the parade. BUT....I was beyond exhausted at this point and I was literally worried that I would pass out on the street from exhaustion and since I was solo, there wouldn't be anybody to claim my body or help me. I had to give in and submit defeat. It was time to get back to All Star Music and call it a night. waaaaah
That was so hard as a newbie to MK and having plenty of time and being solo so I could do whatever I wanted....yet being too tired to physically do anymore.
Since I had done my research, I knew that there would be a mass exodus after the fireworks so I thought I better get moving and get out before I got trampled. I did not watch the fireworks and was actually walking down main street leaving when the castle show was starting up. Here's a pic of the castle I snapped on my way out.
Once again, I don't really remember if I grabbed an All-Stars bus or took the ferry to TTC and then bus or what but I managed to get out one way or another. The bus wasn't too crowded since it was during fireworks so that was nice. Once I finally got to the All Stars and got off the bus, it occurred to me that I actually still had to walk 1400 miles back to the Country Western Section. I was almost on hands and knees at this time seeing mirages like I was hiking through the sahara desert. I kept thinking I was seeing our building but NO, it would just be a vision.
When I got to the room (at last), Julie was sitting in her bed all snuggly in her pj's and she was like.."What the @#$$!!" when I walked in. She was laughing because she couldn't believe I was such a commando. When she goes to Disney, she might not even go to the parks somedays and spend the day at the pool!
Now, when I do come back with the family we WILL NOT tour this commando way like I did. I only did it this way because I only had 2 days and had so much "research" to do. When we go for the "real" vacation in November we'll have 7 days instead of 2. whew!
Anyway....I took a shower and got in bed and me and Julie chatted a bit and discussed how things were going to go down in the a.m. She had to be up like at 3 or 4 to get ready for the marathon
Me, being her BFF, had offered to get up and help send her off and help her attach her crown (she figured since I'm a hairdresser, it was just sort of mandatory to attach crowns to heads with bobby pins?) She just had to wear a crown for the marathon
So...I set the alarm for the crack of dawn and crashed in like 2 seconds!
Stay tuned and I'll tell you about getting up at some un-Godly hour and helping send Julie off and then practically doing a marathon myself trying to run around and cheer her on at different mile markers. Also, did Epcot since I sort of "did" the other 3 the day before.
