You'll have to Dis in secret and not mention it, or he may get too curious about what you're writing, start searching around, and find all of us waiting around out here for his big surprise!


By the way, I sent everybody here from over on our TR for a Nicole and David breakfast. Open your front door, and see if there's a line of Disers standing out there with forks in hand!

My question is, if I block his screen name he made, does that mean he can't see the posts that i've made, including this thread?? And if that doesn't work, what should I do? I don't want to tell him the surprise, but I also don't want him to accidentally find this thread!

I think you're going to have to keep him so busy that he doesn't have time to hang out on the Disboards. Maybe your parents can go all Cinderella on him and come up with about 587 chores he has to do before he can 'play'. You've only got from now until AUGUST to keep him busy!

Ok guys so i'm in a bit of a dillema. AP rates came out but theres nothing for AKL, as a matter of fact theres just nothing in general except for CBR and Riverside I'm struggling with the decision to pay rack rate at AKL, especially now after tonight, I know i'm going for a weekend in December with my mom, my aunt, and my cousin Kara! My 45 day mark is Friday so regardless i'm going to be charged to change it unfortunately. I was thinking of leaving it, and if I can't save up the money I need by the end of July, just shorten the trip or change the resort. I really had my heart set on AKL now, and i'm so upset theres just nothing available!

If I were you since you are going again in December and you have had your heart set on AKL, I would just shorten the trip by a couple days. Now if you werent going in December as well, then I would recommend changing resorts. But thats really up to you. Or how about split stay? Do half of your stay at AKL and the other half at the another resort. Split stay actually sounds better. You'll be able to still stay at AKL PLUS keep your travel dates the same and not have to cut back how many days you go.

Forgot to add that I just checked disneyworld.com for my dates Aug 5 - 17th and it came up with some values plus CSR. So play around with your dates if you do decide to do split stay. Also contact AAA. See if they have any AAA rate rooms left for any resort. You then can join AAA just for $60 and you can save 15% - 20% off your room rate.

Thanks for the advice, I just did some switching ADRs on a paper and it really does work itself out if we cut out the 11th and the 12th..im going to call tomorow and see how much less it is to shave off those 2 days--if its a substantial amount i'll probably do it, only if i can get those ADRs...unfortunately, this would mean we are switching our CP ressies, but we can still meet at AKL!

Oh yeah good luck getting your new set of ADRs if you do cut back on days. They are getting harder and harder to get. I got EXTREMELY lucky for Teppan Edo.

I'm not sure if you want to do that because like I said, its not definite we'll be switching the dates...if you want to be on the safe side, I still have my ADR for the two of us that day so we can always meet up like we originally planned. Let me know
