I see my bro and I having this same type of conversation. He's better at email and text than phone talk any day. And he would also have wanted to open my PS3 and GTA (but like David, he wouldn't have on pretend pain of death) He's also 6'2 and could take me in a split sec.

I talked to Nicole just a little bit ago. I also talked to Kathleen before that. They said there were about eight of them who showed up, and they were having a good time shopping. They hadn't decided where they were going to eat yet. I shopped by phone - I picked out a Statue of Liberty Minnie Mouse. I can't wait to add it to my collection!

I probably sounded so kuuuuuntry to them. We talk s-l-o-w and with lots of syllables to every one down here, and they speak with a little more pep in their steps. Actually, having been an Air Force brat and spending time around a lot of northerners, my accent is not nearly as bad as many around here. I guess we'll wait for their report on my accent.

Wouldn't it be fun to meet up like they're doing tonight? I hope there will be a lot of laughter, and of course, much Disney talk. I'm sure we'll get to see some great pictures soon. If they don't stay out too late, maybe even tonight!

It was a lot of fun to talk to you! Yes, we did comment on your accent, but I believe the words we used were "awesome" and "SO CUTE!"

It really does! Mine maybe?? I don't think the tag fairy is around anymore, but that would be pretty funny! I always thought another good one would be "Disney gave me unrealistic expectations about hair" I saw that somewhere and thought it was really funny!

Awesome reporting.... I really had an awesome time meeting you and everyone. It was really like we all had known each other and we got along really fast! I had a blast! I'm posting my pics on my TR...as soon as they are uploaded. I can't wait to go to Coney!!!!

So were we!! We wish you could have made it!

Now that I'm more coherent and can see the pictures better, I'm ready for more World of Disney pictures. I want to see that rack of earrings the little girl is looking at in the Kim Ashton picture. I need that zoomed. I love to look at earrings - the only jewelry I wear.

Did you take real pictures of my Minnie or just camera pictures? I am so happy that I'm getting that! She will join a very nice group of friends in my classroom. I'll take a picture of them all when she arrives.

Just be sure to get details to me as to who I pay and how much. I don't want anyone to have to wait long to get repaid.

Scott looked cute shopping for pens. I use Disney pens all the time, and that's also a souvenir I often get people. He was probably glad when the shopping part was over, though.

I would probably have never gotten past the shopping part, though. You would have finished your meal and your desserts, only to go back past the store to see me still browsing.

Again, I am so glad you were able to do that. I hope you did make friendships that will continue on in the future.

Haha a lot of us didn't want the shopping to end, but we were getting hungry! We all hit it off which was very nice, we eased in to eachother pretty easily. At first you sort of feel like, "I'm meeting strangers" but then you quickly realize these aren't strangers!

One of my faves too!!! My favorite song I know by heart is Edelweiss...and one time I was watching the movie with my mom, and I was singing along, and she goes "how do you know this song?" and i was like "I dont know I just do, I love it!" and she goes "I used to sing it to you when you were a baby! One of my good friends came in to the city, and among other things, I got another dream at the world of disney store, and I met up with Kat and KC for dinner! Sunday was finally here, and what I love about Sunday's is that its a day off from everything. And this Sunday was especially good because my friend Michelle was coming in to the city to see me and say "so long for now!"

A little history about Michelle and I, we met in 2004 through an online community, and through the years we met up in real life several times (DIS Style!) and just because we have so much common, we've gotten really close, and have become really good friends!! When I moved to FL, (Michelle lives in Jersey) we still stayed in contact like good friends do Here's some vintage pictures!!

And than we have Sunday! Hey Michelle! I know you're reading this!

I picked her up at Penn Station and we decided to go over to Chinatown. First of all she had never been there. In her life! And I needed a mother's day present, and the knock-off Gucci's were calling my name!! Michelle also managed to pick up some really nice "Dolce & Gabbana" sunglasses!

We originally decided to eat lunch in China Town, but ended up sharing a plate of Chicken Parm in little italy which was delicious!

Unfortunately, there are no pictures from China Town, because it was so crowded you could barely walk! We went on a few covert missions to get a bag (they literally take you to these hidden areas where they have the bags, scary!) but came out empty handed. Actually came out -$40 but we won't go into that.

The important thing is I got to go to the bakery my family has always gone to and get a sweet bun, which are awesome!

So we were going to go to the MET to do something different, So I called Kat and asked her which train to take. We ended up taking the R to central park, and when we got there decided to just go to the zoo!

This was a lot of fun! Those darn penguins are so cute! Plus, we were well on our way to adding to the list of things Michelle has never done in the city!

So we're on fifth ave, so where do we go next? Well, we went to Trump Towers to get starbucks and sit down and relax

But after that? WoD of course! We just played around in here and Michelle declared she wants to go to Disney Word, WoD just has that affect on people

MeMom, this is for you!

Before leaving, she wanted to use the restroom, so I wandered off and talked to CMs like I usually do! This particular CM has a really cool Cm-Only pin that was from the haunted mansion but it had a hidden mickey on it!! I was seriously going to go buy a pin to trade, but he left. Well I went to the wall-o-pins anyway when the girl he was standing with came over and went "Do you like to pin trade?" and I was like "yeah" and she goes, "here this is for you. Its part of a year of a million dreams" Sweet!! Another WoD Dream!!

We left WoD and decided to walk back to Penn Station.

They had closed fifth ave off due to a suspicious package in one the buildings So we ended up walking to the Nintendo Store. They were closing soon, but Michelle got to play Mario Kart!

Than we took the long walk over to Penn Station. I must comment that a lot of people for some reason were asking me for directions, I must look like a true New Yorker!

Michelle and I said our goodbyes and I met up with Kat and KC at Borders, we had dinner reservations at Serendipity!!

I got the Meatloaf, and an iced hot chocolate, yum! Not the most typical of combinations, but this is the last time I could have one!! The food was very good, and we had a nice dinner

This thursday there might be another DIS meet in the works (although at this point I think they're just "hey friend wanna hang out?" meets It was a really fun day, and a great way to end my last weekend in NYC.

Jill called at lunch to tell me her Disney Store is closing. One of ours here closed, and another is going to be, but Opry Mills is staying open, for now anyway. Keep your fingers crossed. Us without a Disney Store equals unhappiness.


UPDATE: I am home now, and I can see the pictures. I love it! That's not what I imagined the pictures were. I thought they'd be pictures around the store. I scrolled down and saw earrings! I want to just be standing in front of a rack of them right now. I wish they had a bigger variety, but I can still look at earrings for forever before I make a decision. Those were the perfect pictures for me! Thanks for sharing.
