A "Single convertible sofa." Which means what on the Magic?

This is my first cruise, so bear with me and my silly questions. I just yesterday realized there's a difference between a sofa bed and a pull down, and I'm trying to figure out what's in our room (where my two year old is going to sleep).

It's a Cat 6 (rm 6580) with the description of "...single convertible sofa bed, upper-berth pull-down bed (if sleeping four)..." So does that mean he's going to sleep on a large sofa bed or a twin "sofa" bed? He's still in a crib at home, so I want to be prepared! Actually, if it's a normal size/normal height sofa bed, we may try and change rooms. I'd like him as contained as possible.

Also...sort of related...the room description says "queen size bed or two twin beds." Anyone know what this particular room has in it? We would much prefer a queen, but I guess we should have realized all this before we grabbed the GTY!

On the single convertible sofa, the back folds down on top of the seat (it's not a traditional sofa bed where you pull the bed out from under the cushions.) So in fact it is a single bed.

The pull down berth is also a single bed, it pulls down out of the ceiling over top of the sofa so it looks like bunk beds. There is a rail on the pull down bed and ladder to climb up.

The queen bed can be split into two twin beds, just let your stateroom host if you'd like them set up that way .

The sofa is not that high from the ground, more of the kind you fInd in hotels than you would have at home, if that makes any sense? It is wider than the size of single bed, if I recall correctly.

I do know that Disney offer bed rails, just email them or your TA. That's what we have done for our DD. She currently sleeps in a cotbed without the rails on, but since she is likely to be a little disorientated, I thought the rail may help.

Otherwise, I am not sure if they can offer a pack and play or crib in the room, or you could bring your own?

I am not sure if your room sleeps 3 or 4, but the pull down bed is only in a room that sleeps 4 ie it is the 4th bed. If it is a room for 3, it will only have the twins / queen and the sofa. I am not sure if this is right, but I was of the undertsanding the beds are all twins and they push them together to make a queen? Someone will know I am sure

The bedding is consistent on the Magic and Wonder. All rooms cats 5-12 have twin beds that convert to a queen, and a single sleeper sofa. By default the beds are typically setup as one queen. Additionally they may have a pull-down upper berth if that particular room holds four people. From what I understand, you can get bedrails for the sleeper sofa if you need them, or you can request a pack-n-play instead. Hope this helps clarify!

I am super confused about Kings / Queens etc! Here in the Uk, we have single (that you would call a twin), then a double, then a king, then superking. I am not entirely sure how those sizes correlate though! All I know is that every bed we have ever had in the US is huge!

The Dream I think only has double beds - I recall there being a long thread about this a while back as it doesn't suit singles travelling together.

They say it's a queen, but DH and I sleep on a king at home, and this is more like a slightly undersized king than a queen. Trust me, he's a bed hog and this feels roomy enough.
