A Simple Guide to Making an Autograph Book

Hi, I really love all of your DISigns, and maybe I over looked them, but I was wondering of you have done any for the My Disney Girls Perfectly Princess Tea Party?
I'm going with my daughter and would like to have special pages for it. Thank-you.

New to the forum today! Planning our trip for the first weekend in June and am in the middle of making autograph books for my daughters. I am using DoNatalie's Volume 1 but can't find a Fynn page, a Rapunzel page, and a Special Agent Oso page? How do I go about getting those - I have found them in other volumes but woudl like to have matching pages!! Any help would be fabulous!

The only Disney character that comes to the Perfectly Princess Tea Party is Princess Aurora, and she only comes at the very end. The rest of the party is hosted by "Rose Petal", a woman dressed in a flowery gown who does all of the activities with the children. As far as I know there are no specific cards designed for this party. Would you like me to make cards for those two characters? :goodvibes

Natalie isn't designing for the boards right now, so Otterpop made some in her vol. 1 style. Here are the ones you are looking for :goodvibes:

Would it be possible to get a cover with the name Eli. I would like the cover with all the characters please. Thanks so much!!! :)

Have fun with it! Post a picture after you're finished (I'm still trying to figure out how to post my pics on here, but I hope to get them up soon). If you don't want to bind your photograph images, several people here have used plain photo albums that they decorated up "Disney Style" to keep their images in. :goodvibes
the book is stunning - is there a way to make one? how did u do it - did u make the scrapbook pages and scan them in? do share!

Hi! We leave in 16 days, and I just decided today that I have to get busy and make autograph books this year.
Would it be possible to get the cover with the castle and all the characters with
Emily's 2011 Autographs, and Dylan's 2011 Autographs?
Thanks so much!!

Forgive me if this has already been discussed- I didn't see it anywhere but certainly didn't make it thru the entire thread! :surfweb:

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me about their experience with sliding their autograph pages in and out of a photo album at the parks? I'm concerned that will get cumbersome as you're trying to get the right card out, not drop it, etc....

Any thoughts, tips, advice? Am I worrying over nothing?

MusicMouse....was just checking out your book on artscow.had a couple of questions if you do not mind my asking
1. In making those, where did you get the digtal kids to do this?
2. What program did you use
3. last one...anyway to get a copy of some of those pages?

Thank you...I have been searching for digtal stuff to do but have not found much. :surfweb:

I didn't use a photo album on my trip. I printed 4x6 pages and then put the printed pages in the box the photo paper came in. I organized them alphabetically so I could find characters easily as we met them. Then I kept them in the box. Each day I took out the ones that were completed so as to minimize anything happening to them. When I got home, I organized them with my other photos and put them in an album.

Do you think this would work if you were juggling multiple kids? We have 4, but I'm sure in some cases we won't all meet the same characters. How about having a hard surface to write on? Did you use the box? I've been toying with the idea of little mini-clipboards to hand to each child with the card as we approach. Does that sound doable?

Questions qustions! Life should be full of these monumental problems!

Thank you! I made the pages using Photoshop Elements, Natalie's autograph cards, and several free digital scrapbooking kits and elements that I found on the internet. I just started digital scrapbooking about a month before I put the book together. It's a lot easier to do than paper scrapbooking - you can easily swap out designs or change the layout of a page! If you are interested in seeing what other Disney fans do with digital scrapbooking, take a look at mousescrappers.com. :goodvibes

Many folks here have used mini clipboards or an alligator clip to clip the card right onto the cover of the photo album, and both seem to work well. Honestly, if you are doing 4 of them, I would have them spiral bound or punch a hole in the corner and hold them together with an O-ring. Have you considered making just one big Family Autograph Book? :goodvibes

1. There are tons of places to find digital scrapbooking kits. I would start with http://www.mousescrappers.com/forums/ (digital scrappping for Disney lovers). Also be sure to check out Scrapmatters, Kellybell Designs, and Natalie's Little Corner of the World. These blogs will lead you to other designers (it completely snowballs :rotfl2:). While many of the things you see will be for sale, the designers are very generous with freebies as well (be sure to look for blog trains at the beginning of each month). I collected freebies for about a month or so and then started on my book. I have now been at it for about nine months and have collected a ton of designs!

2. I use Photoshop Elements 8. It took a little while to get the hang of it, but there are a lot of free tutorials out there for it.

3. I posted the two generic autograph pages from the end of the book in my photobucket, but the rest of the pages are so full of elements that are for personal use only that I couldn't possibly make them available without violating the intellectual property rights of about 30 designers. I keep the book in my signature to show folks what is possible with a little effort and imagination (and very little experience).

If you decide to make a book of your own, PLEASE post the finished product. I just love to see the creativity of all of the folks here!! :goodvibes
