I have tried reading through the posts to see this but didn't find it anywhere. Can I just get the pics printed out at walmart or cvs or something and then get the photos put together at an office store with the spiral. I will not be putting the photos on cardstock. Will this work? Thanks for the replies.

I printed mine at a Walmart in Canada and didn't have a problem. I just ordered them through the online service and went into the store and picked them up.

ETA: I just have mine loose ATM, will be adding them to a photo book when we get back

Did you get the spiral bind added to them? I would like to have the spiral bind on them to keep them together during the trip, but I'm not sure if it will mess up the top of the photos.

I didn't bind them, I think it would just cut into the top of them. If you printed them yourself at home Im sure you could edit the images to be smaller will some room at the top to be bound.

Yes, this has been tried and does work. Be certain to check the sizes of the images before you upload them so that you don't end up with borders that get cut off. The office stores that put in the spiral coils will give you a plastic cover (usually clear in front and colored in the back) to protect your photos as a part of the binding service.

ETA: The binding takes up VERY little space at the top.

These covers are absolutely adorable! MusicMouse if you get a chance could you possibly do one for me too? It just needs to say "Jacobs Autographs". I'd really appreciate it!


On a side note, I have a question. How soon is TOO soon to make an autograph book? We're not going until December, so I realize characters could change between now and then, but I'm a giant geek and want to get things started on it because I'm so excited to make this for the little man.

It's really just a matter of personal preference. One inch is plenty of space. The binding on mine only took up about 1/2".

Rapunzel and Flynn will be out around then (Oct. 15th), as will Duffy the Disney Bear (Oct. 14th). There are rumors that Special Agent Oso will be replacing Jojo, and that Eric and Wendy will be leaving the Magic Kingdom, but this is not confirmed. There will probably be some other changes as well, so I would get your designs together, but not print them until mid-October just to be sure you have everyone that you need. Are you going to MVMCP? There are cards for that too!

i am attempting to print my great cover you made, but for some reason I cannot for the life of me get it to print the full border,

i get either the top and bottom and not the side or vice versa!!

Any idea why??

How are you printing it - in MS Word, as a photograph...? If you are uploading it to a photo site, most of them have basic photo editing software if you need to resize it.

We're on the fence about MVMCP, but I'm really hoping it works out and we are able to attend it. Will this cover work for a 4x6 book? I think I'm going to use Natalie's pages, as they are just too darn cute.

What would be a realistic number to make? I don't want to go overboard and make 893284932 different pages for every character known to man, but I also don't want to just have 10. You know? We're there for 10 nights and this will be for DS who will have turned 3 in October.
