A Simple Guide to Making an Autograph Book

This thread is great! I read through alot of it trying to get ideas. I want to make an autograph book and put pics after our trip that coincide with the autograph. So my thought was to print the autograph cards as a 4x6 photo and have the characters sign them, then when we get home take our 4x6 photos of the characters and have them bound at Staples. Is this a good idea? Is photo paper sturdy enough? I would love your ideas on this!
Also could I have a blue cover with Aidan
and a pink one with Addison
Thank you so much!

As MusicMouse said, lots of people get photo albums. I made scrapbooks for the girls. I put the autograph card on one page and them the picture on another. It was my first time scrapping and I really enjoyed it. They came out pretty good and the girls love them. I put them in chronological order as opposed to alphabetical by character name. In other words, I put them in order of our park days. Does that make sense?

Another trick that I learned and will be using on this trip: small clipboard! That way the characters have a hard surface for signing the autographs. I bought two small clipboards at Staples and will let the girls decorate them.

Just an FYI.
Uploaded my autograph cards to walmart.com. Had them printed by the 1 hour photo dept. Person called me to say they were done and questioned where I got the pictures. Explained to her what I did she told me to write out something explaining this and I would also need to sign a paper once I went there to pick up the photos.
Got to walmart to pick up the photos and they would not give them to me. The girl as the counter called somone who then called someone else.
even though they printed them and charged my cc, they could not give me the prints.
I explained the 1st time I had them printed at the store I had to sign a paper stating what I was using them for.
Last trip I had them printed and send to my home, they never questioned anything.
I then explained my phone call.
The manager apologized said that on line you are accepting responsibility for copyright. I said isn't that what I am doing with the letter and whatever paper you have me sign. She said that she could not give me the prints and refunded my cc.
Came home and placed my order on line to be sent to my house. Expected date of arrival 10/19-10/22 we leave on the 22nd.

Interesting. You're not selling them...they're for your own personal use so not sure why there would be a copyright issue.

I am sorry this happened to you, but this is a risk that everyone takes when they have their images printed by a third party. Because they are making money by selling you the prints, Walmart IS infringing on Disney's rights by printing these images. The reason most people don't have a problem with it is that often these photo printing companies don't check the images they are printing. Several people here on the DISign Forum have experienced similar problems. The best way to avoid all of this is to print them yourself if you can. I REALLY hope your prints come back in time for your trip!! :goodvibes

Try an office supply store like Office Depot or Staples. Also try Target or Wal-Mart.

Do you have an A.C. Moore?

This is super! I can't wait to get started on making autograph books for my nieces! Thanks everyone for sharing their autograph pages and their ideas!

Hi There! Would you mind making the autograph book covers for me in blue with the following names:

Grace
Hattie
Mabel
Essie

also, if you could fit Dec 2012 on there somewhere that would be great, if not the names are just fine.

Obviously it's not a rush as you can tell by the date. :lmao: I can already tell I'm going to be obsessing about this trip. :rotfl:
