A Safari Christmas Goes Pop! (w/pics)

I'd be thrilled if we could swim in the new CBR pool at least one day while we're there! At least the pools are supposed to be heated. Too bad they don't give you those fluffy, warm robes at the poolside.:rotfl:

I agree about the robes! We have been debating about bringing bathing suits, even, but we will. . .just in case. :goodvibes

I started checking the weather forecasts for our vacation the week of Dec 6 ...

Last night they had highs in the low-60's, ... this morning it was changed to upper-70's/low-80's ...

So - what do I pack???:rotfl2:

Guess I'll wait until Sunday and then start loading the suitcase day by day ... :3dglasses ... and unloading it ... and reloading it ...

Don't each too much turkey today!!! :upsidedow

Pack for anything! Florida in December fluctuates a lot. :thumbsup2

Don't eat too much turkey? :rotfl2:

I spoke to my aunt yesterday and she lives in Deltona, about 40 min. away from WDW. She says, bring jackets it gets cold down there. So DH asks her, what's cold? She says, oh, it gets to be about 65 DEGREES!!! So we start laughing and I'm like, pack the t-shirts and the shorts! It's gonna be hot!! :rotfl: I do think we'll need jackets for nighttime, but as long as we're layered, they can be windbreakers or fleece jackets.

That's funny! It's amazing how people's ideas of cold and hot differ, depending on geographic location.

I agree with your assessment of what to bring. It makes sense. :thumbsup2

We just ordered sweatshirts off the Disney shopping website, for the trip. They have some great deals today!

Here's mine:

Cute sweatshirts. Wow... you are organized! I'm sure the time will fly by!

I have been called organized by some, anal by others. . .who's to say for sure! :lmao:

There is a slight glitch with the sweatshirts. It appears I ordered a kid's size Donald shirt, instead of the adult size. I called them to try and get it fixed. They said they'll try, but it may have already been processed. So, I have to wait and see. I don't mind if I have to send it back and get a new one, but it is a pain. Ah, well!

Now - that would be an intersting sight ...

Doesn't Donald wear his shirts a tad short!?! :lmao:

Three weeks from today, we'll have already arrived, settled in, ate lunch in DTD and done some shopping! It's hard to believe. :woohoo:

We've had a busy and productive weekend. We got all of our Christmas shopping done. That's a relief to have finished. :thumbsup2

Today, I had to stay home from work. We had someone coming to fix something with our plumbing. So, I got gifts wrapped and all our Christmas cards done. Check! Check! Check! The more stuff I get done, the closer we are to our trip.

I also learned that my sister was able to get time off for the Sunday after we arrive back from the trip. That's when my family will gather to celebrate Christmas, even though it will be January already. So, it's all coming together!!! :goodvibes

:teacher: I've also done the major part of my winter bulletin board for my classroom. I had to create a snowman. Now, I just need to put all the pieces together, once I'm back at work. I'll be sure to post pics of it, like I did with my fall board.

This week, we're beginning rehearsals for the Christmas play at church. Between that, get togethers, Christmas parties and work, these three weeks should fly! Right? :scared:

Tonight, I'm going to dust off the suitcases and finally see how our Christmas tree will fit in the luggage. We never got around to it, before. :sad2: I may put some other stuff into the bags, too. There's stuff we don't need or use right now, but we're bringing, like a bathing suit and shorts.

We are going to start slowly stacking stuff between now and then, so when we do pack it all, it's easier.

I went to the post office today to drop off all the Christmas cards. Man, were there a lot! :scared: It's nice to have them done so early, for a change. :thumbsup2

:teacher: I also decorated my classroom for winter and the holidays! It looks so festive now. I created my winter inspirational bulletin board. See:
winterbulletinboard.jpg

I also put window clings on my classroom windows and door, and I have tree garland with white lights that I strung around my informational bulletin board. Then, while I was out in a store, this afternoon, I actually found Hannukkah window clings! I was so excited, because all of my winter decorations are either generic winter stuff or Christmas, and I never see Hanukkah ones. So, I will add those to my door tomorrow. I love this time of year!!! :santa: :santa: :santa:

:woohoo: Then, my DH found out today on one of the WDW sites that POP has slushies in their refillable drinks section! I was so psyched!!! I love slushies!!! I know. . .a lot of exclamation points, but I had to show how excited I am. :woohoo:

So, that's it at this point. . .with only 20 days to go. Tomorrow, we'll be in the teens!!! :yay:

Oh I am so jealous that you are going again! I can remember last year I was flipping out around this time packing and unpacking and repacking. Looking for this and that to go! I remember looking for gloves and hats and then NEVER using them! I hope that you have great weather like we did last year! Do you have your tree all packed, I can't find ours ... must have gotten lost in the move!
OH have so much fun!
