A Sad Story Which hopefully will turn into a good one:()

Be gone!

Arfy had the individual right because she witnessed this player trying to scam other Stitch Offer rooms. She has the experience that he is in fact a scammer.

So, yes: Arfy DID ABSOLUTELY DO THE RIGHT THING. I cannot understand how you think otherwise. It offends me that someone can even think that way, after reading Arfy's post.

So, yes: Arfy was right, I'm right about Arfy. Denny Crane. End of Discussion.

EDIT: The fact that Arfy went through and enlisted everyone's aid was brilliant and should be commended. VMK would most likely react if they have a lot of scammer complaints about ONE PLAYER. It was brilliant, and it was morally right.

Staff has repeatedly said that multiple reports about 1 person are LESS likely to be heeded than 1 report from the ACTUAL OFFENDED PARTY. Arfy was NOT scammed. He did not "witness" an attempted scam or a scam. He has only hearsay, not actual fact. The one person said "he scammed me" Arfy said "ok I believe you, hey everybody lets report this guy for scamming" when in fact you do not know what actually happened. It is possible that the person that claimed to be scammed actually did the scamming and then booted the person. You just dont know. So "recruiting" people to report not only lessens the chance of an actual resolution, it could lead to a ban of all reporters.

yet again and i am a girl it was all a mis understanding with the player and gave the girl most of her stuff back

I see no harm in reporting what happened as a scam. VMK (this is their job) will check it out by reviewing the logs. If this was an honest trade, no harm done, if not, a scammer has been stopped.

As a leader, I have helped with trades before. It is not a fun thing to do. I always worry that some how I'll get caught up in a scam as well. Now I only help if one player is a long time friend. I have really gotten to dislike the whole trade issue.

and yet again, why a dozen people shouldnt be reporting what someone else told them

actually her stuff was taken! and if the guy wasn't my friend it most definetly would have been a scam because i know he wouldn't go back to her room. me and her and to practiclly chase him down

do you even listen to yourself?

"If he wasnt my friend it would have been a scam"

So... it WASNT a scam, and yet you rallied a whole bunch of people to report something that wasnt a scam.

"Her stuff was taken"
So, you were standing behind her when she was on her computer and actually saw the transaction take place?

You take offense too easily. Arfy witnessed a player soliciting trades, and she witnessed a girl saying OMG OMG OMG and then claiming, either correctly or incorrectly, that she got scammed.

On top of that, Arfy keeps making a bunch of odd statements in her posts like "it was all a mis understanding with the player and gave the girl most of her stuff back" and "if the guy wasn't my friend it most definetly would have been a scam."

Of course, I am a bit jaded about Arfy, because she tried to hose my brother by acting like she was giving him great advice about trading, being his friend and all, then telling him, when he was pretty new to the game, that he should trade his Stitch hat to her for her two really valuable fire walls. And unlike Arfy and the "girl who got scammed," in this case, yes, I witnessed it because I was literally standing in the room watching my brother's computer screen when it happened. So somehow, whenever I read Arfy's tales, I keep thinking about pots and kettles....

i myself have witnessed two scams  and this was during the first year vmk was created. i was very poor and usually once a day i was able to buy one item.

anyway, this boy comes into my room and sends a friend request, i accept, then he asks for something i spent 400 credits on (around that price). he told me he needed to use it for his room, and i believe him and say ok, i'll let you have it. promising me something in return, i accept his trade request. i gave him the item, and he said, "there is a bug with my computer when i'm on vmk, so i'll need to go back to my room and trade with you later". i say "ok" and he leaves, deleting me off of his and my friends list :guilty: .

the second time, when i did taken, my boyfriend asked, "can i use your invisibility magic until i'm done with pirates?" i said yeah, and for a few months he never came on, then got mad at me for never being on (even though it was really him). before august of that year, he messaged me saying "i miss you" and he had deleted me for no reason whatsoever  .

I feel for the girl who got scammed in this conversation, but i don't know if i am saying that this was true or not. now adays i have my trade turned off and no one asks me to trade otherwise :goodvibes
