When you check into a resort do you look around and wonder if the people around you are really guests of the resort or people masquerading as guests just to use the amenities? As stupid as that sounds that is what I feel people post about on these boards. I could careless who is sitting next to me at the pool or sitting in a chair on a beach. I'm there to enjoy myself and not worry about what the next guy is doing and then reporting it. I don't care if they filled their mug up with last years or if they parked at the Contemporary just to walk to the Magic Kingdom. Who cares!! I never realized how a simple question turns into a locked post. I just had to vent. Thanks.

I honestly don't think about it. The resort room is for us to sleep in and get cleaned in and that's about it. The rest of the time we're at the parks or DTD. Barely bother with the resort at all.

It never has really entered my mind either but then again I have never really had a problem while on vacation.

I don't care what others are doing, and don't bother to look at other people much while I'm on vacation.
Someone using old mugs - couldn't care less.
However, if I were at the Polynesian paying $350 a night and couldn't go to the pool because it's filled by people who are not staying there, you can bet that I'd be furious - wouldn't you be ?

Would it bother you if you headed down to the pool or to the beach and couldn't find a chair or a space to settle down? And then found out several of the people sitting in those chairs or settling down at the pool/beach were actually guests somewhere else, or from offsite or just locals? When you pay upwards from $200 a day and more, you just feel like you should be able to swim in the pool and sit in a chair by the pool without having to fight for that spot with someone who isn't staying there.

It's gotten so bad at the BC/YC that they have to check room IDs and issue wrist bands. They've also done that at the BW.

We stay at the Beach Club most of the time and they are pretty good at keeping non guests out of the pool. As for the rest, I don't care as long as they do not bother me or my family.

I don't think much about the other folks at the resort. But I am surprised with the number of kids--usually quite young--in the lake at the Poly.

I guess I have never thought of the other people either..As long as I know I am ok and not doing anything that I am not suppose to be doing I am ok with it. Plus, aren't we there to have the happiest time of our lives?
