A request.....regarding the Haunted Mansion pre-show!

There are some strange (and not in a good way) people in this world. Why would they do that? No explanation would suffice.

I don't even go there. That's one of those freaky moments when you just have to walk away. I don't even want to know what was going through their minds.

I guess I don't have issues with people doing it. When I was younger my sister and I would sometimes recite a line or two...favorites of ours. We never did it particularly loud but if you were right by us you would have heard it. I've heard others do it as well. Some recite more than others. They all seem to do it with great joy on their faces. It's all good fun. I don't think it's any more troublesome than when some yahoo sits in the front seat of a roller coaster and screams the most horrifying scream as the car leaves the station at 10mph. It usually gets a good laugh and people enjoy the rest of their day.

don't have an issue with people reciting the lines since I know that they are just enjoying their vacation; but can't stand the people that scream on the ride or take pictures with a flash

I admit...Im guilty..me and my 12yr old son do it..but we dont do it loud.....its just a fun thing we do and will continue to do...sorry. People are just to sensitive these days..lol

We recite them as well but not because we are "showing off" as the Op stated but because my family and I are having fun. It's a park filled with thousands of people and everyone has fun with their families in different ways!

Those of you who say that you don't mind hearing people recite the lines, what if they are so loud you can't hear the Ghost Host at all? That was my experience. I don't mind hearing guests saying a few lines and having fun as long as it's not so loud that I can't hear the original narration. I literally heard none of the Ghost Host narration until I got into the Doom Buggy. I don't see how this is okay?

Because it isn't, but the ones "having fun" will make you think otherwise.

People who are "just having fun" need to remember that it isn't all about them. Quietly, no biggie. Trying to look "cute" with smart cracks is kind of stupid attention seeking behavior.

It is like going to a restaurant where the loud talkers interfere with the atmosphere for everyone.

You are not in the park alone, so there will always be behaviors that annoy you and not bother others. Likely, the people bothering you are not aware of it. If they are aware and continue the behavior, well, that's another story...
