NC Beast and I are praying for you and your family. When I was working years ago in MD, I worked with adults who were developmentally disabled. One of the people in the group home was terminally ill. She went downhill on the first day that I changed from part time to full time at her residence. She knew her time was close--she said thank you and that night she went into a coma. The company worked with a local hospice during this client's brief stay. The hospice volunteer was the greatest. It was so hard knowing that we were not to do CPR. The client's family came and all of us took turns holding her hand. It was hard letting her go. It was hard also because the month before dear MIL (back then the future MIL)'s father passed on after a long illness. It is never easy, but knowing friends and family's prayers help a great deal.
Hugs and support,
