I'm handling it. Way too busy to think about it. The house next door burned to the ground this afternoon, so it has been a STRESSFUL day. I was concerned it was going to spread and that we would be trapped so we rushed the kids into the car, grabbed my laptop and passports and drove them down our long driveway. Thankfully the fire department arrived soon after. They had six fire trucks and two ambulances in our yard. The kids are pretty shaken up. My neighbor was taken by ambulance for burns but her dogs were inside and didn't make it. It was a lot for me as an adult to handle so you can imagine for them. It's still smoldering next door and the babies are all piled up in my bed tonight. It's been a long day but no one can sleep. So incredibly ready to be on the ship! I will crawl to get there if I have to. Lol.

Oh my gosh Beth, that's terrible. I am so sorry you are all having to go through that and I'm sorry your neighbor lost her dogs and hope she'll be alright......eventually. Did the fire spread? What caused it? DH is a firefighter, I cannot imagine the devistation she's feeling. He's told me some heartbreaking stories and been on some traumatic scenes. I'm sure you're hugging your babies extra tonight.​

Thankfully the fire didn't spread in our direction. It burned woods around it and extremely close to the house on the other side. I haven't seen our neighbor since they loaded her in the ambulance, I am assuming that she is still in the hospital. Apparently she had some food cooking in a pressure cooker and stepped outside. When she turned back around there were flames everywhere. It was a total loss. My dad was a firefighter too. I have never seen anything go up so quickly or burn so fast. I am so thankful that it didn't spread!

I had planned on being totally packed by now but life has been so busy (like everyone). We bought Gabby's prom dress, shoes, and earrings yesterday. Doing some much needed Spring cleaning today. I can't believe how mucky the house got this winter. ​

Me and my bestie used our birthday pedicure gift certs. Gabby bought me one and her DD bought her one. She's going to Vegas this weekend so today was the perfect day to get our toes done. Hope this pic isn't too big. This is the pink I had in Mexico too. It faded really quickly due to all of the sun and water. I'm hoping for the same.

Yes I have crazy crooked toes. And wow, that pic is huge.

I agree. I've given up on nice hands as I'm always working and cleaning and gardening etc....my nails are just short. I got the shellac on my nails before Mexico and it lasted a whopping 3 days. My toe shellac lasted 7 weeks and was going strong, aside from the fading, until today. There is something wonderful about purdy toes and vacation.
