A question on AP rate and reservations?

Currently I have 2 rooms booked at ASMovies April 7-15 with AAA rate. I just called 407 W-Disney to see if I can change my AAA rate to AP. The cm on the phone said that I could only get the rate through the 13th, when the AP rate ends. Is this true? I thought you get the rate that you have at check-in for the whole stay?
Also, he said it was there, put me on hold for a long time...20min, so he can check the answers to my questions and figure out my confusing reservations...comes back on the phone and says, "ok you want Port Orleans. What? I said no, AS Movies, he says oh that rate's not available. Did this guy, who said a few comments that were borderline sarcastic, lose my reservations while he put me on hold? My questions were pretty basic. Are they already annoyed with the AP code calls? I felt like he did not want to help me.
So, I called directly back and a lady offered me Pop or ASMusic...quoted the whole time...it was Pop for $714 for 8 nights. Didn't book bc I really want ASMovies.

The AP rate is actually only for arrivals through 4/8. I know with the old BRP you could not book your stay if your check out day went past the last day the rate was available. In other words you could not book 4/7-4/15 but you could book 4/2-4/8
I just tried to book your dates on line and it keeps telling me that no resort is available, no matter what resort I pick, so I suspect that they are doing the same thing with the new system (at least on line anyway).
Sometimes the Allstar Movies is just not available with the AP discount because it is such a popular resort.

On previous trips I have also had difficulty booking an AP discounted room at AS Movies - that's one of the reasons we ended up trying POP - which we now LOVE!! :teeth:

I've also been told that AS Movies frequently doesn't get discounted because it fills up regardless. They offer a discount on Music & Sports to get more guests booked there. :)

I agree, I've stayed at both and now absolutely love Pop!!
Especially the 70's section. :cool1:

They told me the AP rate was through the 13th. I guess that's better than the 8th. And he did say it was available at the beginning of the call, but for some reason, it changed during the call. I guess all I can do is continue to check. I would like to try Pop, but this trip, with everyone I'm going with, they have their heart set on Movies.
