A question from a closed thread REALLY needs an answer....

I just would like to say, this is my child .....my only child. You don't get " do -overs" with your kids! It's my job to keep her safe, however I see fit. To say I should not take her on a cruise is way out of line.

I did not bring the pedophile issue into this... but can't say that it has never crossed my mind. I am a person, who has many people in law enforcement in my family. I hear all to often, about too many horrible things in life. As far as I'm concerned, the parents who do not keep a close eye on their kids are just looking for a problem. Yes , I realize the need for kids freedom. I don't think having a child roaming the halls of a "floating hotel" is the place for this.

Again just my opinion .... you don't need to agree with me. I know my child will be safe .....

To bring the thread back on topic...as an ex WDW cast member, and knowing the level of security Disney has in place, I would incredibly surprised if Disney did not have cameras in the hallways. Disney have you on more cameras than you can ever imagine, and that's a good thing- it for your protection.

(To clarify this is my opinion only and not a known fact.)

My guess is that there are cameras recording but not being monitored in real time, similar to what goes on in most stores/hotels/etc. If a problem is reported they can go back and review the recordings. They probably store them for 30 or 60 days.
