I'm going to answer both questions posted. Craving ice is technically termed pica and can be a symptom of anemia. People with anemia might crave other non-food items such as clay or dirt. I remember as a very young child eating small pieces of plastic or crayons. In my case, it was a bad habit, and not a sign of anemia, because I wasn't. I like ice now, but, I know I am not anemic, and have never been my entire adult life. Amazing, but true. My last Hb level was 13.4, which is high normal.
As far as the loose skin is concerned, at this point I am about 15 lbs away from my goal. I have some mildly lose skin, and when I was at about 160 lbs (about 36 lbs wt loss), it was worse than it is now. I was very concerned at that point. But, as I continue to lose weight, the subcutaneous fat is decreasing, and the overlying skin is tightening up nicely. The exception is my breasts, which is the only place I have stretch marks/scars. They are making me crazy, but, I am dealing with it by wearing a tight fitting sports bra to sleep. It seems to have helped. I had even thought about using a wide Ace wrap to apply compression. Of course, I wear just normal bras during the day, so as to look normal in my clothing. I will give it time, and consider a breast lift if necessary.
