I was just looking at ebay and I am amazed at some of the prices for these plates. I have about 5 or 6 plates but nothing worth 150 plus like some of these I have seen. Are these just wishful thinking or are these prices of 150 to 500 for a say Brenda White plate right?

Brenda White chargers were very expensive when they were offered for sale. The chargers are very large and quite heavy, and usually of a very limited edition. Not my taste though...

The Brenda White charger plates are about 18" in diameter, 3.5" high, and are about 1/2" thick ceramic. They are hand made and hand painted. They also tend to be very low edition sizes.

Before Brenda was well known many of her plates were at the (early) Disney Stores. For example, the AP she has up for sale now (Sorcerer Mickey) sold for $250 in 1990 and was an edition size of 50; most of her plates were editions of 25.

Later on, her prices did go up. For example, at the opening of the first Disney Gallery Store (in Santa Ana) her LE/10 Cheshire Cat was $1,500.

I know these prices as I have 17/50 of the Mickey Sorcerer and 7/10 of the Cheshire Cat. Luckily, at that time I was able to get a 10% discount with MKC.

By the way, anything you see on ebay with "JRBW" as the seller is coming directly from Brenda and not a reseller.

Thank you for the info... Those charger plates are great looking.
