a question for the experts regarding future DVC Villas...

Once Beach Club Villas sells out. Is it possible that Port Orleans French Quarter could be converted to a DVC property? Think about it. Converting the hotel rooms to Studios and 1 bedrooms would not be too hard. 2 bedrooms would require some work, but probably less expense than the Eagle Pines Villas. Marriott has some timeshare properties that are only 1 bedrooms. Could Disney have a DVC with only Studios and 1 bedrooms?

It would be fun to have a DVC next to Port Orleans Riverside. What do others think?

I guess I think DVC members have gotten too used to deluxe type accomodations to settle for a moderate. We stayed there once and thought it was very mediocre.

It could be a possibility since the infra structure is there. But I do not forsee that DxL will stay closed indefinitely.

If they did decide to convert it. I would suspect that they would need to demolish the exisiting buildings and start a new. The conversion for the plumbing for a studio might not be too difficult to convert, but to add the plumbing and items for the full kitchen in 1 and 2 Bedrooms would require extensive renovations to not look thrown together.

They should add a DVC to the AKL instead. DW would add-on points like crazy if they did.

I disagree with that one. I have concern for the Animal Kingdom success anyway. They have them well placed in WDW.

Boy I loved AKL. Adding DVC there would be way cool.

Jiko was fantastic, I was a Flying Fish fan and still am but Jiko was better IMHO.
