A question for all you free ddp experts re:date changes...please help me understand??

We've got reservations for POP Sept. 1- 5, 2006 with free ddp throught WDTC.

OK, here's the problem- we just found out that we can arrive 1 day earlier and stay one day later on our upcoming trip. We'd like to buy 3 more days of tickets too-( we have 1 day tickets with this package already ).

1.- Will we be charged the $50 for rate change within the 45 day window- we will be spending more $ instead of less $-if we extend our trip by adding 1 early day and 1 day later ?

AND

2. Will we still have free dining for each night - do we lose our free ddp if we change our dates to lengthen our trip???

DH has found out that he has to work on our origional arrival day and has to be back earlier then we thought- he'll be flying while we are driving- so the boys and I can stay 2 extra days since we don't have to fit into DH's work times IF we can get our room and DDp too!

Probably not, since you're spending more $$. We added 2 days with no charge, but we were just outside the 45 day window. Keep in mind, though, that it all depends on availability at your resort. The free ddp was immensely popular, especially at the value resorts.

If there is availability at your resort, your free dining will extend to cover your entire stay. I asked the poor CM this question about 6 times when I was on the phone, because I was so afraid changing our package after June 26 would invalidate the free dining. We also didn't have any problem adding extra days to our tickets (and upgrading to parkhoppers).

But, your entire party will need to be there at check-in. I mention this because it sounds like your dh will be flying down sometime during your trip?

We added our days, free dining was included for the extra days and there was no fee for ADDING to the cost of the package-
