A question about tower of terror

I would be highly annoyed by a glowstick on ToT. It's one of those things that would distract me so that I couldn't look at anything else.

I was just on ToT with some people who kept their flashing light wand on through the whole ride. Very annoying. Don't bring a glow stick.

No, I didn't know him at all. He had to be in his 60s with his wife. By his grip, I knew he was a manual laborer since he was a teenager.

I never considered it scary. I also don't love heights but TOT does not bother me at all.

I would be beyond annoyed if I worked up the courage to ride ToT again (only ridden it once in my life) and someone had a glow stick.

I'm curious as how looking out facing directly at a screen would cause you to deter and look at someone that had a glow stick? My focus on Twilight Zone is straight out and not on anyone else around me so I am a bit confused.

It's the glowstick that would cause you to look in their direction. Illumination in an otherwise completely dark area is a distraction and can change the focal point.

What if the person with the glowstick was sitting directly in front of you? Even more distracting.

Really love ToT, as does my daughter. My son, on the other hand, who will ride any roller coaster and Mission Space (which put me out of action for the day), hates the ride and refuses to ride any more. Last time we road a young couple sitting next to me screamed the entire time. But yeah, the ride is awesome. I don't like heights at all but never really notice them. And it isn't super dark, but in any event I'm not sure a glow stick would be appropriate (but also not sure that anyone would really notice during the drop, just don't use it during the pre-drop part).
