I just bought my 6 day hoppers plus from AAA - they were cheaper than the ones I could get with my Disney Club card !

The lady at the AAA inists I can use this card to hop at water parks with no limit- the CM on the disney club phone line said the card I'd get from them would give me one visit to a water park.

Are they 2 different cards? I mean, the AAA price was even lower - how could I could have more visits to water parks with it?

My hunch is that AAA has it wrong, that I have one visit with a hopper plus just like if I would have got it from Disney directly. But what do you think?

6 day php's have 3 plus days.

You can use the 3 for the water parks, PI, and/or Wide world of sports.

I think the lady at AAA is misinformed or sold you old tickets.

The old 6 day Hopper plus cards were such that they gave you unlimited admission to the 4 main parks, and the extras started the 1st day that you used the parks for whatever reason... then you could use the extras as much as you liked for 7 days... after that point, the extras expired.

When the new Hopper plus's were introduced sometime in 1999, they were reformated. Now, you still get the 6 days of unlimited admission to the 4 main parks that don't expire, but instead of the way it was, you get 3 optional choices including admission to PI, the water parks or the World of Sports... you may use those options at any time, and whatever isn't used during that visit never expire.

Examine your card closely. Post here what it looks like. The old passes were paper with a picture of a character on the front... in fact... in 1998, ours had pictures of Timon and Pumbaa. They also would have been called something like a SuperDuper pass.

The passes that were in effect up until last month, still had pictures of the characters on the backs, and they were Mickey, Minnnie, Goofy, and Donald. The new passes, which are what should be being sold presently look like credit cards.

I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions, feel free to PM me!

It sounds like I have old cards! They have pictures of characters on them and do not look like credit cards. They don't say anywhere on them, or on the folder they came in what I get other than 6 days of hopping to the 4 parks.

You're not saying they aren't any good; are you?

This is the first year in a long time I haven't had annual passes - I haven't seen a hopper in awhile!

Don't panic! Your tickets are fine. The AAA person just gave you bad information.

The old passes that eeyore0062 refers to were called All-In-One passes.

Look on the back of the ticket. It should state the kind of ticket it is (like 6 day Park Hopper Plus) and a series of numbers as well as a date. As long as it says 6 day Park Hopper Plus you are fine.

The tickets you get from AAA are not usually on hard credit card stock so don't use that as any criteria. AAA is a ticket wholesaler just like Ticketmania or Florida Orlando Tickets. Ticket wholesalers get the mylar paper passes to sell.

No, they should still work... it is just the question as to what extras you will get. What are the pictures on the backs, and I will be able to tell you?

You guys are so helpful - thanks!

The pictures are on the front of the card - so that means it was the old style - do you think they undercharged me or something?

This thread is super confusing. I buy park hopper passes when we goto Disney. The plus options are not hoppers. If you visit two water parks in one day than you lose a plus option for both waterparks.

Example: 3 Plus options. Visit two water parks in one day = 1 plus options left.

I think most of the passes are paper. My annual pass is paper. I got a replacement one last week and it was still paper. It, and my mom's 4 day park hopper plus from connections are paper & have characters on the front.

If you look closely at the print on the back, there should be a date. This is the date the ticket was issued. That will clear up any issues about it being old.

It's also a good idea to photocopy the backs of the passes & out the copies somewhere safe. Bring an extra copy with you. If you should lose the passes, Guest relations may be able to look them up & issue you new ones.

BTW, I often find my local AAA to be clueless about WDW! :)

Hayley... who are the pictures of? If they are of Mickey, Goofy, Minnie or Donald, then they are the ones the Disney Store was selling up until last month, and AAA must have not sent them back to Disney when the new ones came in (the Disney Store did). They are still good for admission. I think your representative at AAA was mistaken in the information she gave you. If that is the case, then you will receive your 6 days of unlimited admission to your main parks, and 3 options, including PI, the water parks, and World of Sports. Each time you enter an optional place, it uses that option. If you play your cards right, you can get 9 days out of a 6 day hopper plus... just use the options on days when you are not going to main parks and don't use 2 options in the same day.,

For instance, if you go to Typhoon Lagoon during the day and PI at night, 2 of your options are gone.

TDS and AAA have nothing to do with each other and do not get their tickets to sell the same way. That's why AAA doesn't have the castle displays with the hard plastic credit card stock that TDS has or offer DC discounts on them.

AAA is merely an independent ticket wholesaler. They do not have the option of selling anything other than the mylar paper tickets that Disney supplies them with. None of the ticket wholesalers that Disney does business with sell the hard plastic credit card stock. So please don't get the idea that because they aren't the same kind as TDS sells that they aren't current tickets. That is not true.
