I was just checking the Delta website. It says that each passenger is allowed 2 pieces of checked luggage plus a carry-on, and that there is an additional charge if your bag weighs more than 50 pounds. So, in theory, my husband and I could have a total of 4 checked bags weighing just under 50 pounds each? Right?
What if we just have one larger suitcase between the two of us, but it weighs more - like 65 or 70 pounds? Would we still be charged extra, even if that is the only thing we are checking for the two of us? We were just hoping to put everything in our one big suitcase with wheels instead of wrestling multiple smaller suitcases.
