A question about lapu lapu....

I am pretty sure I have read the answer to my question on these boards but have been unable to locate it again.

I am wanting to try one of those lovely looking drinks that they serve in a Pineapple...Lapu lapu i think they are called? Are they only available at the Poly? Whereabouts do they serve them? Can you only get them from the restaurant or can you get them in the Tambu bar?

Polynesian (Tambu Lounge) is the only place I've had one of these. I think they cost something like $13. But they're pretty big and have a lot of booze in them.

I had one at Kona and man was it strong and had a very sour taste to it....I liked the Pina Colada better.

Well, if your trip is still a while away, you can always tempt yourself by making it at home all you've got to do is mix 1 oz. Meyer's Rum with 1/2 oz. Bacardi 151, add equal parts of sour mix and OJ, garnish with a cherry and serve in a pineapple.....and enjoy.....

Now that sounds like a good idea....... and of course if i have gone to the expense of buying a bottle of rum and a bottle of bacardi then i can't only have one now can I?
