A question about canceling a Concierge Cruise

Do not use the word cancel. You will lose your deposit. It can be transferred as money on another cruise prior to paid in full date.

When you call, do not say the word cancel. Say you would like to move the dates of your cruise. The entire deposit may be transferred, but remains non-refundable even if the new booking is not concierge

You can "change your cruise date" prior to the paid in full deadline (even if you paid in full early) with no penalty. That is not the same thing as cancelling, which would incur a penalty.

I'm hoping to get a Wish concierge booking on Monday, but we haven't decided the dates (concerns over hurricane season, debating between June and August), so I'm thinking if we could book both dates, and then transfer the credit of the unused to a future sailing...

I don't think it works that way. You can transfer the Concierge reservation to a new cruise (the original reservation number goes with it), but I don't think you can transfer the funds from one Concierge reservation to another cruise that has a separate reservation number. I would ask DCL before doing this.

Correct. Any change of date must be done before the official PIF date or penalties kick in.
