We`ve read that using anti-persperant on your feel helps prevent blisters, have you tried it? Did you use the underarm or foot antipersperant.

Thanks

I've tried this, and I used the spray underarm kind. It helped to keep my feet from getting sweaty (especially wearing sneakers with socks). None of us got any blisters. Don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but it worked for us. Hope this helps.

I have used the Arid X-tra Dry aerosol deodorant for the past two trips. It works wonders. I even use it at home when I know I am going to be on my feet all day.

When I go to the parks I wear good socks and good shoes (sneakers) and have never had a blister. the only time I got blisters was when I wore sandals.

I wonder if the previous two posters were prone to blisters and this actually prevented them or if they would not have occurred at all.

I usually use Dr. Scholl's moleskin and it works great to prevent blisters.....I never thought of deoderant, maybe I'll give that a try next time!

Unless you get your feet wet in a rainstorm or on a ride. I had that problem last trip. I tried the anti-persperant trick. We went on Splash Mountain, got wet and had a big blister by the time we walked to Space Mountain.

Because of that, I stand by the traditional moleskin and non-cotton socks, double layered. It works when we go hiking, it works when we go climbing, it works at Disney, even when my feet are wet.

Just my experience

I've never tried this before.

However, I wear my trusty pair of New Balance shoes and good socks and my feet are fine - never had a blister. I always bring Dr. Scholl's moleskin with me in case of blisters but I've never had to use it.

Just a side - I bring peppermint foot lotion with me and every night after a nice hot shower I rub my feet with it ... feels wonderful!!!

We did this in August of 2001. I don't know about preventing blisters, as our shoes weren't a problem, but it felt really good, and did keep our feet cooler/less sweaty during the day.

I've used the anti-perspirant in the past and have always had great luck. Unfortunately, this past May, my luck changed. The weather was much hotter and more humid than past visits and the spray was not enough. By the end of the first night, only 1 hour into E-night, my feet were in really bad shape. I should have skipped E-night and rested my feet, but I didn't and I paid for it. I was down for 2 days, unable to walk as the blisters that covered the bottoms of my 2 smallest toes were completely open. It was horrible. After 2 days of rest, I went for the moleskin, which worked well. On our next trip, I plan to go with spray, moleskin and thick socks all together. By the way, be sure to apply the moleskin BEFORE you spray, else it will not stick.
