~ A PTR for a CAMPING Trip That Might Never Be ~ *TR Started (link inside)*

Sorry about Owen being sick...that stinks! Better now than on your vacation though! My kids all had a bad cold a few weeks ago, but only Dan had to go on antibiotics for a sinus/ear infection. Here's to everyone feeling better soon! :wizard:

One of my boys got strep last Fall, and I didn't know either. No sore throat, no fever, nothing, until it moved on into Scarlet Fever! Even then he didn't seem very sick, except for the red dots all over his face and torso, and the positive strep test.

Better now, than vacation is right. Those little whippersnappers.......:lovestruc

Hope Owen gets to feeling better soon. As everyone else has said, get it out of the way now.

Carissa , I am so sorry to hear about these frustrations you are having with the new orders. I hope everything works out very soon.

Thanks everyone! :goodvibes

Can you catch Strep over the internet? If yes, I am not coming back to this thread for at least three weeks. :rolleyes1

Sorry for the trouble...hope you enjoy the upcoming trip.

Hey Kevin! :welcome: I think you're safe from strep - at least from contracting it from us. :thumbsup2

That is how I was with strep. It always affected my ears.
Hope he is feeling better.

Sully was up a couple of times last night with an ear ache - no fever. So, I'm getting ready to take him and Connor in to be tested.

This should make you feel a little better...

I think Alex has peri-anal strep!! :scared1:

Just be glad nobody at your house has that!!! We won't know for sure until the culture comes back tomorrow or Saturday morning, but that's what the doc thinks and he's had it once before. Three weeks of antibiotics and a sore little toosh for at least another week. :sad2:

Oh no! Poor Alex! :( Hope the test is negative.

Back from the doctor and both boys were negative for strep, but Sully has an ear infection. Maybe things will calm down a bit now - I can hope. ;)

Good news about the strep! Now you just need to work on getting everyone healthy cause you leave in 43 days! :goodvibes :woohoo:

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I wanted to post a couple of pictures that I took of the boys this morning. They're wearing the special "Valentine's" shirts that their aunt sent:

What big plans does everyone have for tomorrow? We're going out to dinner tonight as a family to celebrate and then tomorrow Chuck and I will make a special dinner at home once the boys are in bed and watch a movie. I AM hoping for flowers, too! ;)

I was able to make our countdown calendar yesterday. I used winkers countdown idea.

We'll simply put a sticker over each number as we count down. Twelve days and we can begin our 30 day countdown! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Up Next - A Productive Weekend

Happy Valentines Day to you also!

The boys look so handsome! Sounds like you have a nice weekend planned. We have no plans. I have my photography class tomorrow and then we will probably just watch TV or something.

Oh, I am expecting flowers. My poor DH always screws up and forgets to change the confirmation email to his personal account when he orders online.:rotfl: It was funny when I got it because I was thinking of telling him that we shouldn't get each other anything and save some money.

Have a fantastic weekend!
Melissa

I'm so sorry to hear your boys are sick! I hope everyone feels better soon, hang in there.

They look so cute in their V-Day shirts!

DH and I are going to my favorite Sunday Brunch.....I can't wait!

Happy Valentine's Day Carissa! Sounds like a nice relaxing plan to enjoy the holiday with both the boys and DH. The boys' shirts are cute! :goodvibes

The boys look just great in their red Vday shirts! :goodvibes

The countdown calendar is terrific.

We have no plans yet for tomorrow. DS4 and I went to Target today and bought treats for everybody (I told him he can't tell anyone what we did/bought and he is being so cute trying to keep the secret.) I'm sure we'll eat out (carry out) or make something special. No flowers here...dh knows I am not a fan of getting flowers. I love balloons though!

Thanks again for the pictures...

Oh good. I sent you something in the mail yesterday you can use!:goodvibes

Those shirts are so cute! I adore them! The flower thing reminded me of a class today... Our teacher's husband came in and serenaded her and danced with her and brought her beautiful red roses, it was so romantic! All the girls were crying in my class, it was so sweet of him! He's an amazing singer too.
On the countdown, I love it! It's so... Green!

We're driving to disneyland right now actually, that's what we're doin for vtines day!

That's a nice looking crew of boys you have there. You are very blessed!

Have fun with the countdown calendar! That will make the trip very, very real for all of you. :)

The boys look adorable in their red shirts! How sweet of your Aunt to send them to the kids!:thumbsup2 Your countdown calendar is GREAT too! I can't believe how close you are!:cool1:

Hi Carissa!
Haven't heard from you in a few days....just checking in to say HI! Hope all is well! :thumbsup2

I'm here Missy! Just busy with having everyone home over the weekend/holiday. I haven't been feeling great with this stupid cold/cough. I plan on posting an update tomorrow. Thanks for checking up on me.

I hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day and a relaxing holiday weekend. :goodvibes

Here is my Valentine's Day present:

And you all know how much I love mail! On Saturday I received an envelope from pamouselover. This is what was inside:

Those stickers will work great on our countdown calendar! Thanks again! :)

I did quite a bit of planning for our trip over the weekend. The boys and I watched the planning DVD and learned about the new Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure. This sounds so cool!! We're all very excited to try it out.

We've decided to focus on attractions we haven't done before on this trip, but to also include our favorites of course. Sully really wants to try all of the big thrill rides and between Chuck and I - I think we'll be able to get him on all of them except for Tower of Terror. Neither of us wants to go on that one. :scared1:

I also went to touringplans.com and started working on our plans for each park day. I love how much info are on those sheets! We're not going to have a strict plan to follow, but just have the attractions listed that we want to do, etc. Chuck really wants to relax more on this trip so I shall try to reign in my typical military-style techniques. :rolleyes1

I also printed out the list of items that can be purchased with snack credits and menus of the CS places we plan to eat at. I intend to try to figure out ways to best use our credits for breakfast and lunch.

Lastly, I was able to purchase the items needed to make our shirts and actually got around to making them. I'm not happy with how Sully and Owen's came out so I'll be redoing those. Thankfully the t-shirts only cost $2.50 each. :thumbsup2

Here's one of the shirts completed:

Love the T-shirt. Where did you find T-shirts for $2.50?
