~ A PTR for a CAMPING Trip That Might Never Be ~ *TR Started (link inside)*

Hi,
Target rocks. They also have tide ones near me. I put fabric sheets from home in a sandwich bag, and cut up dish soap clothes to wash out our mugs.
The room at POFQ seemed larger then the one we had a CBR to us.
Love the shirts! I never found nothing good for myself at walmart.
Well off to bed! I am exhausted and just came on here to proof read DD report for school.

Thanks for stopping by to check in even though you were tired! And what a good mom proofreading. :thumbsup2

I'm not normally a huge Walmart fan, but Walmart is closer to us than Target. This particular Walmart is in that same area as Arundel Mills. It's fairly new, rarely ever that crowded, plenty of registers open - I don't get frustrated shopping there like I have at other Walmarts.

Has anyone ever received Amish Friendship Bread starter, and if so, how did it come out? Someone at Chuck's work gave him a bag of starter this week and it's the first time I've ever received any. I'm curious to know if anyone has done it before. Sounds like it makes a very sweet bread.

A big thank you to Tracie from MouseEar Family Designs for making this for me! :thumbsup2

I'm planning on trying my hand at iron on transfers and making shirts for all of us with this design. It will also be the cover for BINDER. ;)

Cute design! :)

Tell us how the Amish bread turns out, sounds yummy.

I will. There are instructions to go along with it. Basically, you let it sit out on your counter for many days. Tomorrow I have to add some stuff to it and let it sit out some more. Just makes me nervous because I'll be adding milk to it tomorrow and then it sits out?? :confused3

Adorable design! I can't wait to see it on the t-shirts!

Isn't it cute? I thank YOU for introducing me to the design board. ;) I need to get some ink for my printer before I attempt the shirts.

very cute design. some people are very talented, others like me would not have a clue where to start something like that.

Huh, that does sound kinda strange. Maybe there is something in the mix that prevents the milk from going bad? Can yeast do that?

What a great design Carissa, it is adorable!!:thumbsup2

:goodvibes

I guess. I think it's suppose to be fermenting or something. :rotfl: The recipe says only the Amish know how to make the starter. I just keep thinking this whole thing is like an urban legend or something. :lmao: When I make the bread, it calls for 2 boxes of instant vanilla pudding mix. I really don't think the Amish use that??? :confused3

Cute design!!

As for the Amish friendship bread.........I remember my mom doing that back in the 80's.:rotfl2: I don't remember how it tasted.......just this weird glob of stuff on the counter. sorry, no help!

And the amish do use jello puddding..............my sister lives close to Amish country in Ohio. We went to some of their stores and bought some cookbooks............best recipies ever!

I knew someone would know something about it! I'll have to take pictures and post all about my Amish Friendship bread experience. :rotfl:

Any takers on one of the three starter bags the recipe says I'm suppose to hand out? :scratchin
