Ok, I just read through all 50 pages of your report, only took two hours. I didn't use the chapter links because it is also fun to get to know the other people involved. Thanks for stopping by.
Always love to have new readers and posters.

We lived in Australia for three years and when we moved over, we only had two kids. While living there we heard that they were no longer allowing families with three kids or more to that location because of the expense. We hadn't heard that it was for all duty stations overseas. It really is a shame.
And my husband will most likely be on a ship, not doing the one year tour overseas - that was just something he could choose if he wanted to.
Can I ask where in Florida you guys are stationed? Another possible place we could end up is Jacksonville. (I see you have a link to a TR - or possibly more than one?? I will get there soon.)
You said on my TR that you figured out where we are, any chance Chuck could end up at MacDill here in Tampa (based on where you were stationed in Australia my DH thought Chuck may be in the same career field as him)? I'm part of another TR with someone that lives in Jacksonville, you would only be a couple of hours from WDW.
Now, I'm trying to think of everything I wanted to comment on. First I think this is so funny, we have stayed at POR twice and will be staying at SOG for the first time in July. You have stayed at SOG and will be staying at POR for the first time. You will love it. Room will seem small, but if you are like us, we are only in it for sleeping and taking showers.
We lived in Rockville, MD 5 years ago. I miss the DC area.
Since I wasn't around at thet time of the PTR when you were looking for ideas for an anniversary, thought I would give you some future ideas:
Savage River Lodge in Western Maryland
This place was wonderful. It has been about 6 years since we stayed there, but we loved it. Only time I have stayed somewhere that didn't have a TV in the room. The restaurant was wonderful also.
Zero Water Street Inn in Charlston, SC
It has been almost 10 years since we stayed here, but it was so fantastic. We had the entire top floor to ourselves. We even purchased a bottle of champagne, sat on the veranda, and pretended it was our home. The home, at the time, had been owned by the same family for over a hundred years (different family members of course.

Both of these were expensive, but ended up going to the lodge after my DH had tried to book one of the cruises in DC and with taxes it was going to be over $300 for Dinner and a two hour cruise.

Zero Water Street Inn was a splurge for DH's return from a year in Saudi. Again, I would love to go back.
Since your DH may be going on a ship for a year, I would highly recommend them for a little time for just the two of you.
I know there was probably more that I wanted to say and as soon as I click "submit reply" I will remember it all, but I really need to go do something, what's it called? Oh yea, housework.
