~ A PTR for a CAMPING Trip That Might Never Be ~ *TR Started (link inside)*

On Easter, we went to Pennsylvania to celebrate with Chuck's family. If we're living nearby, we always go there on Easter and they do a big egg hunt in the backyard for the kids. Their aunt always gets them some extra goodies as well and this year it was chairs. These chairs will be great for camping! Connor's is particularly cute:

Connor being Connor does not always like new things. He's not too sure about this chair yet. But, I currently have it in his room in the hope that he'll grow use to it and eventually sit in it.

Sully and Owen have this chair (although Owen's is a different color):

I am so wanting to go to Disney right now!! So many of my Dis friends have recently been or are going soon and I just want to climb in their bags and tag along. :) Next November is a LONG time away. :(

I do have my trip to Alaska coming up, which I am excited about. We have a few fun things planned for that trip such as:

*Going on a whale watch cruise
*Visiting some caves
*Taking a cruise to see the Misty Fjords
*Going to watch a K9 demonstration (with my friend's brother as the person being "attacked")

I already have my dress for the wedding. My friend who's getting married actually bought it and shipped it to me. I love it! It's a skirt and top in navy blue. I'll post a picture at some point. Now I just need to get a pair of pants for Sully.

As for my upcoming camping trip, I just remembered that I need to figure out what Connor is going to sleep on in the tent. I could probably get by with just bringing some quilts to put under his sleeping bag. I also don't remember if we have electricity at our site or not. If we do, I'm bringing along a couple of fans since it'll probably be warm at the end of June (and it'll help if there are any noisy people around).

Just for fun, I think I'm going to do up a itinerary for our Disney trip and see how much it changes over the next 19 months! Will it resemble the original in any way, shape or form? :rotfl:

Lastly, here's a picture I took yesterday of Oreo (please ignore my unmade bed). It's so hard to get a shot of her because she moves so much and so quickly. The one that I posted before wasn't very good.

Up Next...Our Itinerary 19 Months Out

This was so fun!!

I know this will most likely not be how things end up going down, but it was still fun to plan and dream. pixiedust:

I looked at the crowd level days at the Unofficial Guide's website for this year (they only have until April of next year posted). And since the dates are off by one day for OUR trip, I went with the days of the week matching up. I'm sure that did not make any sense whatsoever. :sad2: For example, this year, November 21st is on a Friday. Next year it will be on a Saturday. So, I looked at Saturday, November 22nd to match up to our Saturday, November 21st. Did that help any? :confused3 I figured the day of the week was more important than the date in terms of using their crowd level estimates.

Here we go!

~ Our Itinerary 19 Months Out ~

Friday, November 20th - Drive down (no clue where we'll be driving from!)

Saturday, November 21st - Arrive at The Fort! (estimating based on our previous two drives) - Set up tent and campsite - Head to MK on the ferry! (we might eat at Trail's End first if we're really hungry)

Sunday, November 22nd - Breakfast at Trail's End - Day off - Do fun stuff at The Fort

Monday, November 23rd - Epcot (do our must-do rides and head to the World Showcase, starting in Mexico) - Illuminations

Tuesday, November 24th - Day off - evening go to DS for Osbourne Family Lights (are these done every night?)

Wednesday, November 25th - Sea World

Thursday, November 26th - Epcot (we really enjoyed Epcot our last visit and I think we could use an extra day there this time) - Thanksgiving dinner at Garden Grill (very tentative)

Friday, November 27th - Animal Kingdom (must see Finding Nemo) - lunch at CS of Yak & Yeti (can't remember what the CS is called)

Saturday, November 28th - tear down campsite - brunch at 'Ohana (Lilo and Stitch) - depending on time and how we're feeling, may go to another park for a couple of hours

Looking at the estimated schedule for this year, I'm not sure there will be a MVMCP going on during our visit. :(

I do like having a basic plan to work from at the moment. Makes it a lot easier to come up with ideas. Even if those ideas may never come to be. ;)

Up Next - Can It Be???

That Oreo is too precious.

Thank you for posting pics of your DC/Baltimore trip. I was beginning to think I was the only one posting non-Disney trip pics! :goodvibes

You'll find my suitcase from our Spring Break road trip still lying on the bedroom floor just waiting for "someone" to finish unpacking. I guess I'm supposed to be that someone. :headache:

I love reading about people's trips no matter where they are! :)

Yes, Osbourne lights every night.

Thanks :thumbsup2

Am I right - part of one day at MK, plus 2 at Epcot?

I'm sure I'll fit more time at MK into there. It'll be so easy to get there via the ferry and I'm sure we'll have an extra day or so on our passes so one of the "off" days we could venture over in the evening. I did notice after I posted it that I only had a partial day at MK. We might skip DS all together on this trip and head to MK before leaving (since we might be at the Poly anyway). But, honestly, we've spent quite a bit of time at MK on the last two trips. There aren't a lot of attractions that I feel we *need* to do. We'll be going more for the holiday stuff (and I really hope there ends up being a MVMCP!!!). Epcot really needs two days, at least. There's so much to see in the World Showcase. But, our Thanksgiving day park may change depending on our eating plans.

Carissa!!!

I have alot to comment on...your Anniversay....is the south too far. I heard Charleston is beautiful.....

Your trip to DC and Baltimore....Camden Yards. It a dream of mine to see a ballgame there. It looks like you had a great B-day weekend. Your DH baked a cake...WOW.

Your itinerary looks good.....i would try and switch an off day and AK day. Thanksgiving Weekend will likely be very busy.

And I got your last PM......I miss the Buzzster....

I will add Charleston to the list. Chuck didn't like my Gettysburg idea so I'll save that for this fall when my friend comes to visit for our yearly Fall Mom Getaway ;)

My dream has always been to see a game at Fenway. But, that is both difficult and expensive to do so I may settle for Camden Yards. The Orioles have been my 2nd favorite team ever since Brady Anderson got traded to the Orioles many years ago. I had a HUGE crush on him ;)

Yeah, the crowd numbers for that week are 8's and 9's. Better than the week after Christmas! Thanks for the advice.

He is a unique bean who will be greatly missed.

Hopefully the bruhaha will blow over and Buzz will be reinstated...

Just as an FYI...Brady and I went to college together.......nope never met him, but saw him around campus.

NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know he was an economics major (does that show you how obsessed I was that I know a minute detail like that? ;)). So cool! I *sort* of met him. When he was sent down to the Pawtucket Red Sox (triple A) they came to Maine and played our triple A team. I got his autograph and everything. That was a highlight of my growing up years :)

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME??

I come back from DC and find pictures from it! Messing wth my brain, are you now? ;) Maybe I'll post my DC pictures soon.

What do you think?

By the way...

Cute cat, Oreo looks like a keeper, so adorable. Love the itinerary. Sounds good to me. Wish I could be doing the same thing. By the way... I found out why you can't shove me in your luggage, 1 suitcase can only be 100 pounds!

I may have had a class with him though I think he's a few years younger

Hey! You travel a lot too! First Mexico, now D.C. ;)

He was born in '64 (how sad is it that I know that? ).

charleston is a great place to visit! I fell in love with it!

Another vote for Charleston -- you know, I love it! :goodvibes

I have lots of opinions about where to stay, what to do, where to eat...just saying...:rolleyes1

Looks like you had a good time on your getaway. Great pic's!! Thanks for sharing. :)

The Alaska trip sounds sooo nice!! You MUST post pictures when you get back. :thumbsup2

Loving the itenerary!! This trip really sounds like a blast. You guys are so brave to stay in a tent the entire time. :worship: I would love to try this but I know I will not last more than a couple of days. :lmao:

One question I've been wondering about....How do you keep others from digging through your stuff or stealing things from your tent while you are at the parks? Is there a such thing as a tent lock?? :confused3
