~ A PTR for a CAMPING Trip That Might Never Be ~ *TR Started (link inside)*

Looks like you had a good time on your getaway. Great pic's!! Thanks for sharing. :)

The Alaska trip sounds sooo nice!! You MUST post pictures when you get back. :thumbsup2

Loving the itenerary!! This trip really sounds like a blast. You guys are so brave to stay in a tent the entire time. :worship: I would love to try this but I know I will not last more than a couple of days. :lmao:

One question I've been wondering about....How do you keep others from digging through your stuff or stealing things from your tent while you are at the parks? Is there a such thing as a tent lock?? :confused3

I will definitely post pictures of my trip when I get back :)

I've read threads over at the camping board and people say they've never had any problems leaving things at their tent sites. With that said, we will most likely have our van with us so we can store stuff in there that we're concerned about.

Look what I started....I haven't even been there. I just have heard it's nice.....

Lol - Charleston is on my short list of places that seem like they would be nice to visit, along with Vancouver, Seattle, and Portland, OR. Right now, dh is trying to get us to use our airline credits to go back to San Diego, which is one of his favorite places.

I love SD....I lived there....

I love Portland...I lived there too.....

Dh lived there for about a year or two, just out of grad school. Alas, starving on the beach only works for so long...and hey, if he'd stayed there, we never would've met. But, he still loves it...

Carissa, I am just catching back up! I love Oreo, what a cutie! Your itinerary looks great! I think off days are so important. As far as your anniversary goes, I am not sure if you have ever heard of Cape May, NJ but it is a super cute, quaint historical town with TONS of bed and breakfast places, their is a lighthouse, the beach,a shopping square and TONS of restaurants and a few bars too. You can take a ferry their from Lewes, Deleware (which you can take your car on) or you can drive. It is probably about 2 hours from Baltimore. Also, if you were interested Atlantic City is only 30 miles north of Cape May too. We love it their it is beautiful. I cannot wait to hear about your Alaska trip and Your birthday looks like it was wonderful! You deserved it, I'm glad it was so great!

Hi Diane!! :goodvibes It's so good to have you back home (although you probably wished you were back in Disney World)! I know you've posted a couple of TR installments and I will get to them soon. I'm also trying to work on another installment for my PTR so hopefully that'll be here soon. I'll just give a hint that it's about "Top Ten" ;)

Thanks for the suggestion of Cape May. I'll have to look into it :thumbsup2

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know I am un-subbing from all pre tr's. I have alot going on and am really busy and cannot keep up. I have the dates written down and will definitely be there for the tr. U can pm if u like.

Hi Carissa! I just finished reading your PTR and now I'll have to go back and read your TR. I just wanted to say hello and let you know that we are going through the same sorts of issues with our son Alex (7) that you are with Connor. Alex was diagnosed with PDD-NOS (high functioning autism) at 2 and has always had GI problems. He is majorly constipated - he has to take Mirilax every day. He has belly pains all the time. We have done all sorts of testing and have a colonoscopy and endoscopy coming up in July. We have done gluten/dairy free diets, digestive enzymes and allergy medication. A lot of these things have helped, but we still don't have any definite answers. Hang in there and hopefully things will get clearer over time. Amy :goodvibes

Hi Amy :) Thanks for stopping by! :goodvibes

I'm sorry you're having to go through similar things with your DS  Connor is doing fairly well at the moment, although I'm having a hard time getting him to drink fluids which makes constipation worse. He has an apt. with his Pediatrician at the end of the month and I'm going to see about getting him a referral to be evaluated for Asperger's and/or Bipolar. He also is going to a screening done by the school system at the end of the month.

I appreciate your comments and I hope they're able to help your son :)

Awww, I thought maybe there was an update.

Carissa, where are you?? How are you?? You've been missed!!

Hey Cherie! :goodvibes There will be an update in just a minute. I asked Marisa to unlock this for me (that's what happens when PTRs are ignored for so long :rolleyes1 ). I'll have to check in on your thread - it's been too long!
