A proud father... doing some bragging..

WOW, congratulations!

I didn't know a 10 year old could fly a plane. Can't sit behind the wheel of a car to learn but can fly a plane. I never would have imagined it.... interesting fun fact.

How cool. Tell your son congratulations! :thumbsup2 I know you are very proud of him.

That's pretty darn cool!

I've always wanted to take a few lessons, but I just can't see spending the money on it, as I don't want it as a hobby, or to take it anywhere, just out of curiosity!

Awesome! My DS would be insanely jealous, wants to be a pilot in the AF, but funds are preventing us from leting him take private lessons and he is almost 16!

If your kid wants to learn about flying, you should look into the Civil Air Patrol cadet program. I was a cadet and have soloed in an airplane before I got my driving permit. My little brother is now a cadet as well and has flow multiple times in the pilot seat at no cost. Plus he's had rides in military aircrafts and helicopters. It's a great youth program and I highly recommend it. We joke it's the best kept secret of American youth programs because everyone knows about the boy scouts or girl scouts, but very few has ever heard of the CAP. Cadets must be at least 12 to join.
