Greetings all!

I tried emailing Chef Gordon at ChefLCC@cs.com to confirm our reservation for a Private Affair later this month and the e-mail bounced. Anyone know if the addy changed?

I thought I remember reading that Chef Gordon will contact us ahead of time to pick a menu but we are about two weeks out and we haven't heard from him. How far in advance does he usually contact regarding reservations? Also, is it usually via email, phone, or snail mail?

Thanks for the help!
PJ

His current Email is Hhichef@aol.com. Enjoy your meal and give us a report when you return. We have our first one planned for March.

The resort phone number is 1-843-341-4100. You can call and ask to be transferred to Gordon's office to leave a voicemail.

His new email address is HHIChef@aol.com .

I'd email him or call. He'll send a sample menu for consideration, but is also willing to cook anything you'd like. He is participating in the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot this month (I don't remeber his exact schedule), but I'm sure will respond in timely fashion. He does need to know your menu choices a coupple of days in advance in order to have needed ingredients available.

Enjoy the event, it's a wonderful experience!

Thanks so much for the help! It's our first time too and I can't wait!

My only problem is deciding whether to keep it as a special night for DH and I or invite the rest of the family who are joining us for the holiday.

Pooh,

Keep :wizard: Chef G to yourself!! You and the the spouse will LOVE it! It is TOO romantic to have anyone else along. We just got back from a quick stay at HH. I was able to secure Chef Gordon for a special dinner to celebrate our anniversary at the last minute. He is such a nice guy!:love1: We had a message waiting for us when we arrived welcoming us and tell us he was looking forward to our evening.
When I found out the the event was to be served at Signals, I wrinkled my nose. I couldn't imagine how that could be transformed from a french fry smelling snack bar to a lovely candle lit room for just 2. Believe me, IT was amazing! The night was just a little cool. With the doors open we could hear the ocean and feel the breeze.
The food was wonderful. The night was truly magical. Disney does it again for our family. :cloud9:

Thanks so much for the suggestion...that is the way I was leaning. ;)

I finally heard back from Chef Gordon and am VERY disappointed. I had made the reservation for A Private Affair back in March and now he says he has to cancel. I understand that things come up but the fact that I wouldn't have known if I hadn't emailed him is disappointing. I would have thought he could have let me know earlier especially since I have been planning for the entire special evening for months now.

Who knows when we'll get back to HHI so I am just feeling very disppointed right now.

Poohj20, Don't feel bad he had to cancel us too and this was the only night DH & I were going to do anything solo. I guess another time.
:love2:

I am going to try to book him for May.

I wonder how far out I should try to make this reservation?

Since there is only one seating each day it's offered (and it's not offered daily) I'd make the reservation as soon as you know what dates you'd be available. Chef Gordon is the only one who does the program and it's also dependant on his schedule. As noted in this thread, there are times when his schedule changes and changes unfortunately must be made in the A Private Affair schedule.

I'd send him an email or call the resort to contact him about the dates you'll be there.
