Hi there!
I just couldn't contain myself any longer so I decided to make a pre-trip report! I will be in Disney World in February to run the Princess Half Marathon. This will be my first half marathon so I am a little nervous, but mostly excited that I get to go to Disney World!!
So I will start off with some basic information about who is traveling. This is my first trip report so please go easy on me! I will be traveling with my mom for this trip. She is a huge supporter of me and I can't imagine going to run my first half marathon without her being there! My mom is my best friend and I am so happy that we get to go on this mother daughter trip together.
So first I will introduce myself. My name is Torrie and I am a senior in college. I will be graduating in December so why not go to Disney to celebrate right? I am 21 years old and I have been obsessed with Disney since I was in diapers basically. I went to Disney twice as a young child and then I also went in 2007 and 2009 with my mom and my brother. My favorite characters are Rapunzel, Cinderella, Minnie Mouse, and Merida. My favorite park is Magic Kingdom and my favorite ride would probably have to be Splash Mountain.
Then there is my mom. She is 57 years old and my one true role model. She will be turning 58 during our trip so I have a lot of surprises in store for her
Her favorite characters are Tigger, Simba, and Minnie Mouse. Magic Kingdom is her favorite park, but her absolute favorite ride is Soarin'.
Ok now on to the trip details. Currently we are booked at Pop Century Resort in a preferred pool view room for February 20-28. We have 7 day park tickets and the basic dining plan as well. Now here is where a surprise might come in. I am thinking about upgrading to a moderate or deluxe resort to surprise her. We will have to see if the budget allows that though.
I have our ADR's booked as follows:
Thursday 2/20: Liberty Tree Tavern-late lunch
Friday 2/21: Garden Grill-dinner
Saturday 2/22: No dining reservations
Sunday 2/23: Yak and Yeti-dinner (Also the PHM race day)
Monday 2/24: Cape May Cafe-breakfast
Tuesday 2/25: Sci-Fi Dine In-lunch
Wednesday 2/26: Biergarten-dinner
Thursday 2/27: Cinderella's Royal Table-dinner (Mom's Birthday request)
Friday 2/28: 1900 Park Fare-breakfast
So I will add more information and details as soon as I think of them. For now, thanks for reading!
