Pre Trip Report
Cast:
Brenda, Disney fanatic that is always looking for a way to get to Disney! Try to go every year, but 2008 we were unable to go because we went on a cruise. I would have much rather have been in Disney!
Larry, husband to Brenda, dad to Tyler, Justin & Meghann. Could careless about Disney or vacations, he only goes when its cheap and NOT during any hunting season
. Somehow I talked him into going, still not sure how that happened.
Tyler, son (17), Is a senior in High School this year and does not want to vacation with mom & dad anymore
He is however, going on a senior class trip to Disney that he invited me to be a chaperone
of course, I didnt turn him down
.but he will not be going on this trip with us.
Justin, son (12), sports fanatic that is already giving me a hard time because hell miss two weeks of soccer practice
. More like his father than anything, loves music and loves being on vacation once hes there, but doesnt like the ride there.
Meghann, daughter (12), more like me
A very social butterfly who got really excited when she found out AOL instant messenger was on her phone so she could still talk to her friends while we are on vacation. Meghann picks our ADRs based on the desserts being offered.
So, here we are October, 2008. We were booked at Caribbean Beach, but because of $ and the way things are, we are booked at a value. So, unless we come into a whole lotta money or Dh decides to add more to the vacation funds to stay at a moderate, well be at a value (which is fine with me!). We plan on driving down for two weeks vacation, using one week at a timeshare at the ocean, then the following week in Disney (when the real vacation begins!).
We are undecided on what to do for ADRs as of yet, but we of course still have to wait until February to book it. I know we want Ohanas & Chef Mickeys, but unsure of everything else.
We are hoping (and praying) for Free Dining. My husband loved not pulling out his wallet after dinner (of course now you pay gratuities, so well have to, but still worth it!). Im nervous that they are going to do quick service dining for free dining, so if they do, well upgrade to the standard dining.
So thats us in a nutshell, we have over 10 months to go too long if you ask me!
