A Pre-Trip Report by a 5 yo princess...The final countdown!!

Just stopped by to say hello. I hope you guys had a good weekend.
Mine started off rough after spending 2 hours on the phone with AT&T trying to get the wireless package added to the phone. I told them at the store that I didn't need it, boy was that a mistake. I took the Pearl back today b/c most of the letter buttons have two letters per button and I didn't like that. Also, I didn't like the way the web browser looked. I was going to get a Crave, but the store was out, so I got a Samsung Blackjack. So far it is tons better than the Blackberry, and it has a Windows operating system that I can sync with my laptop. Also, it has a bunch of Disney songs I can use as ringtones. Now I just have to pick one.

Hey everybody!

John I'll be sure to take plenty of pics for you!

Kim - thanks I'll check into that! I still need a new phone desperately.

Well, Aubrey will be missing at least the rest of this week of school. I'm going to see if they will let her do half days next week since it is the last week of school. Long story short, when I woke her up for school yesterday she was covered in blood. Saw the ENT and was sent straight to the hospital for surgery. She had a bleed from the tonsilectomy she had recently. We thought we would be coming home after the procedure, but instead the ENT said she had lost too much blood from the bleed and had to stay over night for observation. She did fine and thankfully they didn't have to give her any blood, so we were discharged around noon today. I stayed at the hospital with her and dh was home with the baby. None of us slept well and so we are exhuasted.

Anyway, maybe one of these days I'll be able to post again and have a normal (ok somewhat normal) life again.

Calgon take me away! PLEASE!

Oh no. I'm so sorry. Give her a big hug, and I'll say a prayer for her that nothing else happens. I take Joey to John's neurologist tomorrow morning to have him tested for Epilepsy.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to break it to my DH that my mom volunteered our house for my sister and her hubby to live in until they get a house when they move back to TX from New Orleans?

I could use Calgon, and a good massage.

Thanks everyone! I wish I could say that today was better, but we ended up in the ER again. I had to call 911 and have her taken by ambulance. She had a major seizure this morning caused by the antibiotic not mixing well with her antiseizure meds. Anyway, we are home and exhausted but the antibiotic has been changed and they gave her an extra dose of the seizure meds for now. Oh and we are seriously considering bumping this August trip up because we just can't take it anymore! We need some fun soon!

I am so sorry to hear that.:goodvibes  With all that has happened it sounds like you guys deserve an entire month at WDW, or at least some Mommy-Daughter time at one of the spas.

I took Joey to the doctor and she order bloodwork and an EEG for Joey and one for John as a follow up to see how he is doing.

I am having so much fun with my new phone. I even figured out a way to have the Mickey Mous March as the alarm for our ADR's. Now I just have to figure out which graphic to use. The Captian Jack Sparrow or the Prince Caspian one.

Just wanted to check in really quick to check up on Aubrey. I hope that she is feeling better.

Well we are doing much better. We figured out that it was the seizure medication. We are doing an EEG wed to see where we are now without the meds and our ped is working on getting us in with a new neuro since ours says it isn't the meds and to continue to give it to her even if she can't walk. WTH? So she got to go to her graduation today. It was cute. I can't believe I know have a first grader!

Yeah, I would be finding a new Neuro too. Right now I'm just having trouble with John's school district. He is in a behavioral modification class. There are maybe 10 kids in the class, and 4 adults. Each child has their own schedule, and it is less stressful on him. Since our district will have 21 Elementary school when school starts in August, they do not have these classes at all of the Elementary schools. I was told my his teacher that they would not have the b-mod class at the school it was this year, and then she told me what school it was going to. I talked to someone at the school he was suppose to and they said that just b/c the teacher was going there didn't mean that he would. As of last week, I didn't know which of the 21 schools he would be at. I spent 4 hours leaving messages for the person that is over Elementary schools and her assistant before I finally was told where he would be. They confirmed that he would be at the same school that the teacher would be at. Yesterday, I picked John up early and talked to the teacher. She wouldn't be teaching next year, b/c they were adopting a new child. She said that she would be needed at home. Great, now my child that does not deal well with change will have to deal with not only a new school, but a new teacher. When I was at Joey's 4th grade graduation, John wanted to say hi to the Assistant Principal. The Principal told John that she was glad that he would be at her school again next year. So to shorten the story, between the Principal and a resource teacher, they have known for a while that John would be back at that school.
Joey's graduation was this morning and now I have a 5th grader and a little boy in Intermediate school.
Aubrey - Congrats on your graduation and I'm sure you will do great in 1st grade!! I hope that you have a wonderful trip, and can't wait to here your review on the new Toy Story Ride.

Sorry to go MIA. My brother and his family came in for a visit and just left today. Anyway, we have an appt with a new neuro on July 10th. We have started the Kepra and so far so good. We will actually be increasing the dosage next week. You increase every 2 wks on this one.

I have to share something cute Aubrey said today. We were getting ready to cut the ring off the countdown chain and she said..."Mommy lets cut them all off and then that way we can go to Disney now!" LOL She has so figured this out!

Hope you all have a good evening. I should be back on a bit more frequently now.

That is too cute!!! I wish it could work that way. If it did I would be cutting all mine off right now.

Hopefully things will be nice and boring and uneventful between now and your Disney trip. Today has been a great day here. I was up at 5am to make our ADR's. I only had to wait 45 minutes the first time I called to talk to someone. Then I noticed two dinners that I wanted to switch, and called back. Luckily I did it when I did, b/c they only had 3 times available for Tony Town Square the night I wanted. :dance3:  :santa: I think it was mainly due to that night being a MVMCP night. I was able to get everything that I wanted, including dinners at Le Cellier and CRT. Now I am putting all the times, and con. #'s into the calendar of my Blackjack. Then when I'm done with that, I'm going to set the alarms for 10 of the ADR's. I am going to set alarms to go off 1 hour before the ressie's, so hopefully we will never be late to any of them.

I'm hoping things stay calm that is for sure. So far so good though. She has cheer practice this afternoon. Working on finalizing the Dec adrs. Just a few more days and I can book them. WooHoo! It's fun planning two trips at once. LOL

Ok, got to scoot for now. I'll try to post more later. I need to start making a packing list for this trip so that I can see what I still need to get.

Hopefully you get all the ADR's that you want. I was able to get all the ones that we wanted, even CRT and Le Cellier.
I was looking at our ADR schedule after I had made them all and I noticed that we wouldn't really be in the room at the time of the fireworks. The only reason I was paying for the MK view was to sit at night and watch the fireworks over the castle. Besides, I was tired of trying to convince myself that I would like the Poly as much as I love the WL. I called this morning and changed our room ressie to the WL /w a courtyard view room /w bunk beds. Actually, it was the only thing that was available, but I'm just glad that it was available. I think that I would rather stay at the Poly with the MK view sometime when it was just me and the DH. Maybe if I let him buy a new monitor for his computer with the left over money, he will take me for our 15th wedding anniversary. I have to admit, since I made the resort change I have been more excited about our trip.
Have you guys started packing yet?

Haven't started packing yet. I feel like I need to though. Especially with the ne baggage allowances. It will probably take me that long to get things in to 2 suitcases. DH brings his golf clubs and they are considered our 3rd bag. I'm not purchasing a ticket for Ashton so everything has to go into 2 bags. I actually have to get new luggage as well. Guess I should do that today, (going to order another set off of Overstocks.com) We bought a set for $100 4 years ago and it has held up well. The airlines killed the 2 biggest ones though, so I for sure need replacements. Oh well, one more thing to look into! LOL

I can't bring myself to stay at the Poly either. Good choice on changing to WL. I bet you guys have a blast!

Well I bought the luggage! Spice Orange! Bet we can't miss that on the turnstiles!:rotfl2: Now once it arrives, I'll start packing. I've got to get that list together though! Hope you are all having a good Thursday!

I hope your little Princess is feeling well. We're having a great Thursday!! I just found out last night that my sister is moving back to Texas......today. Her hubby is going to stay back in New Orleans since they are paid through this month on their apartment so he can pack up their stuff. She starts a new job on Monday, but it's only a contract thing. Then hopefully she won't have any trouble finding something after that. She will be living with us until she gets her own place. I am hoping that by the time her hubby gets here, they are in their own place.
I would love to buy some Mickey Mouse luggage from our trip. I'm trying to convince my DH that since we are going in December and the weather is anyone's guess that we need a few more larger bags. We usually only take 3 bags. 1 large one for David, a medium one for me, and a small one for the kids. I am thinking that since I am going to pack both shorts and pants, t-shirts, fleece pull overs, and sweatshirts that I need a large one and each of the boys need their own. Luckily since we bought our airfare in February, we won't have to pay the new $15 for the first checked bag per ticket. Also, I am planning on buying Christmas presents while we are there, so we need bigger bags that have extra space to put stuff in.

I don't know which airline you are booked on, but double check that baggage fee. Continental had to be booked by a certain date, but if your itinerary was after June 1st I believe you still had to pay the extra fee.
