A Pre-Trip Report by a 5 yo princess...The final countdown!!

I've been busy though! LOL I booked our Dec flights too! We were suppose to go 12/19 - 27 but the flights would have been $2400! But if I change the dates to 12/18 -28 They are a little over $900 so since we have AP's the only additional cost is 2 more nights at Pop and food! That won't be anywhere near the cost difference in the tickets so dh said book it!:cool1: :thumbsup2

Great application of FDM! That's "Fuzzy Disney Math" in case you don't know the term. We use it to extend vacations, justify DIsney shopping and just about anything Disney related! You just had the perfect application of it! :rotfl:

LOL! As long as he doesn't press charges!:rotfl2: Hey what are your dates in December? Will we be there at the same time?
Sadly, no. We will be leaving WDW 5 days before ya'll get there. Our trip is from December 7-14th. The original trip would have put us there at the same time (December 19-29th), but when DH asked his boss at his new job he literally laughed in his face. I don't see what the big deal would be. He was a temp at this job before going full time, and last Christmas they were so slow that the IT guys brought DVDs to watch all day at work.
Right now I'm trying to decide if MVMCP, the Cadlelight Processional dinner package, and La Nouba can fit into the budget. MVMCP is a must. DH really wants to go to La Nouba and if we do it will be a suprise for him. I want to go to the Candlelight Processional, but would only go if we got the package. I'm just afraid that if the narrator is someone that I don't know/ don't like, it won't be as enjoyable. Knowing me, if it's someone I don't know I'll be trying to figure out just who they are the whole time. If it's someone that I don't like, then I won't enjoy their part of it at all. Plus I had my heart set on doing this on Christmas Eve, and I just think that going to it will be a reminder that I had to change the trip. So, I'll probably just end up skipping it and just doing MVMCP and La Nouba.

So that's what it's called. I used it on our upcoming trip and didn't know it. Our original trip was December 19-29th, staying at the WL in a woodsview bunk bed room, using the DlxDDP. Well since I had to move the trip dates to a cheaper time and a shorter trip, it was only logical to upgrade the resort. I had no choice, it wasn't my fault.:lmao: Now, the trip we have is December 7-14th, MK view at the Poly, and using the DlxDDP.

Man that stinks that we won't be there the same time! How are the boys?

Ok, here is the report from Aubrey:

Hi everybody. Today me and Mommy read the Disney book to Ashton. He pointed to all the pictures of Mickey and Goofy.:rotfl: Then we watched the dvd and I showed Mommy all the rides I want to ride on. We saw the teacups but Mommy said Ashton will have to stay with Daddy while we ride. I told Mommy I want to ride Goofy's Barnstormer, BTMRR, the carousel and I want to see Ariel. Ok, I have to go to bed now. Bye!

The Disney book is the Birnbaums Guide. And the dvd is the Disney Planning video!

Well that is about all for tonight. Have a great one.

Well Joey is great. John has to get up at 5:45-6am-ish to get on a bus to go to school at 6:30. Joey doesn't have to be up until 7 to go to school. However he insists on getting up when John does, so that after John gets on the bus, he and I can lay down in my bed and have "mommy-moose-cartoon-snuggle-time". (His nick name is moose.)

John (pauses to think of polite way to say this) well he's keeping life interesting, and he is back at school this week. Luckily the DH was able to get someone from the insurance company to give him the info that we needed to fill his script, so he is back on his behavioral meds. I keep telling my DH that was the biggest problem with his behavior at school. I just hope he has more good days than bad this week. If he does then we get to go to Forbidden Kingdom this Friday, which we all are looking forward to. I'm hoping that will help some with the behavior as he really loves Jackie Chan.

Well today I cancelled the rental car for the Aug trip. I don't think we will need it. We have usually been ok with Disney transportation in the past. I will not cancel the rental car for our Dec trip though! LOL

I also finalized our itenirary for the Dec trip. (Well until park hours are posted anyway!:rotfl2: )

How is everyone else today? Aubrey had Daisy Scouts after school, so she'll post a little later on. She is really enjoying doing this. She calls it our book. So she always tells me we have to type in our book.

i need to get susan to post here too :rotfl: as for Thunder over louisville it was the best yet. i'm trying to post video from the show on youtube. i heard someone call thunder a 28 minute grand finally. and it really is just that. aubrey i'll make and send you a DVD of thunder so you can see it better. i used to think fireworks are just fireworks. then i saw THUNDER:woohoo: :dance3:  :lovestruc :worship:

ok, here's the plan, keep your fingers crossed at all times. It worked, he had a perfect day today!!! :dance3:

We have only rented a car once. It was the trip that DH and I went by ourselves and we stayed offsite (ick). We rented a convertable, and loved it. My DH said I can rent another one, when we plan on going to Kennedy Space Center.

I already have our ADR's planned (that is if none of them change anymore before the tirp) and what park we are doing what day.

Yeah! Glad he had a good day! We are going to keep the rental for december for sure. I can't imagine what Disney transportation is going to be like when it is that crowded.

When I went to read the latest, I clicked on page one by accident. Seeing little Aston's feet made me want to run out and buy baby socks. When my DS's were baby's they had tons of socks, b/c both my mother and I love baby sock.

I would love to hear about more of Aubrey's favorites. Character, park, place to eat, character meal, etc.

Sorry I didn't get to post Aubrey's answers last night. The kids have given me their crud and I feel like crapola.

Mr. John - The fireworks sound cool. I can't wait to see the video!

My favorite park is MK. I like to ride IASM, Dumbo, PP and Pooh Bear. I also ride the cars with Daddy. He lets me drive.:yay: Ariel is my favorite princess, but I also like Minnie. Pluto is nice too, but he licks!:scared: :rotfl: What are John and Joey's favorite characters and park?

I'll be back later to post some more ideas I have. Got to try to breathe thru gymnastics with Ashton this morning. Wish me luck!:wizard:

John - My favorite character is Stitch!! My favorite park is Animal Kingdom b/c I really liked the scary Dinosaur ride.

Joey - I like Captian Jack Sparrow the best. I like the Magic Kingdom the best.

I hope your feeling better.
I saw a teacher at Joey's school that had a t-shirt that I thought ya'll could appreciate here. It had a big high heeled shoe on it, and above it said "Cinderella is proof that shoes can change your life." I just thought it was too cute!!

I have seen a shirt like that before! LOL I love it. I'm ok. Coughing a lot but otherwise fine. Had a busy day, but will post more from Aubrey later.

Ok, Aubrey says Hello! We didn't get to do too much on the Disney front today. She had gymnastics after school. I am thinking about making a countdown chain this weekend with her. Not sure exactly how we will do it. I don't think she fully gets that we are going twice this year, so maybe this will help her see when we are going the first time and then do another when we get back.

Anyway, I still need to pack her lunch for tomorrow etc, so I'm going to call it a night.

Morning everybody!

Ok, so I have decided that I'm going to get Aubrey to help make the countdown chain this weekend. I think she will have fun. Can't wait to see dh's face when I hang this thing up all over the house!:lmao:

Also on tap this weekend is to finish the scrapbook from last Decembers trip to WDW!:scared1: I have half of Aubrey's done and only 1 page done in Ashtons. So I'm off to finish cleaning up the house so we can have a fun filled Disney Packed weekend!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

You know, I think I might actually make a Disney countdown chain after all, or at least a calendar. OK, so maybe both. I wasn't going to b/c I had myself tricked to think that it was b/c I wanted to suprise the boys with the exact date of the trip. Well it was actually b/c I didn't want my mom to come across it when she came to my house and then give me a lecture on it. I have since told her about our trip, but I did it the chickens way. I told her that we had a friend that had some DVC points they weren't going to use and would rent them from us at whatever we could afford. Since my mom knows nothing about DVC, she believed it. She thinks we are getting a 7night/8 day stay for $200 points, and then the cost of tickets, food, and airfare. OK, I admit it I'm a chicken:lmao:

Ok, so I'm not the only one. My mother doesn't know about either of our trips. She always acts like poor pitiful her she can't go etc, etc and then tries to invite herself on our vacations. She gambles all her money away so I have no sympathy for her. So I don't tell her until it's too late for her to join us!:rotfl2: :confused3
