A Pre Thanksgiving/Christmas Vacation, Our First Split Stay & Our 5th Trip to Disney!

Shelly- I'd leave it alone.

I think a lot of people when they go to WDW do absolutely no planning until they check in and get the times schedule in their hands.

Then they will see that there are lots of F!'s showing all week to shoose from.

I would get there at RD to be on the safe side, and then if it gets crowded leave, go the pool, to DTD, resort hop, go to the Boardwalk, etc.

But I would probably try to go back late that night. I've always found that if I go to DHS while the first one is showing- you can actually get a lot accomplished- the park is virtually empty and lots of rides are walk on's.

Then go to the second showing with not a lot of peeps. And your kids are older now too so- if they're out late it won't be as bad on you guys. Where are you going the next day?

I am probably going to leave it alone and hope for the best. It just stinks!! I had a plan and they go and mess it up. :headache:

The plan was to be there for rope drop and stay until after we saw the Osborne Lights. I think they come on around 6:00. We have an early dinner ADR at Sci-Fi, so leaving and coming back may not work. There is a lot we wanted to do and see that day, so I'm just hoping the crowds don't get in the way of that. It figures, most of my days are so laid back and this was the one day that I have jam packed full of things to do!

I'm coming to party too! Single digits baby!:woohoo:

Thanks for stopping by! Woohoo single digits!!:woohoo::cool1::woohoo:

Just had to pick DS8 up from school. Fever and stomach ache. :sad2:

As horrible as it sounds to say 'good your child is sick', I will say this: better now than in 9 days.

I'd rather y'all be the spreaders of disease than the receivers!

Uh oh! :scared1: Better quarantine him from the rest of the family.

Sorry about your DHS dilemma - I suspect a handful of people will have planned ahead and those people will see F! on the night they had originally planned - the nights you won't be there. The other people will wait until they arrive to even check the schedule. Since there will be so many choices, the crowds should spread out over the week. I'm guessing you'll be OK. Plus while F! is showing the crowds will all be there so you can have the rest of the park to yourself. ;)

Oh yeah... Happy Single Digits!! Somebody pass the dip!

I was thinking the same thing. Kind of. I'm thinking better now than next week at this time. But at the same time if this is something that is going to be passed around the family, will we all be done with it by next weekend?

Yikes, Shel! Oh no!!!

Everyone get in an enclosed space with him and breathe his air. You can't let the contagion drag on for 9 days.

Get it now, get it over with!:lmao:

Hope Little Dude is feeling better soon.

Belles' teacher and I have been emailing back and forth this morning. She just sent two more kids to the nurses office with 102 fevers--- that makes #'s 6 and 7 out of just Belle's classroom today.

Ooh- I have a really great Buffalo Chicken Dip recipe.

I'll make that for this little Shin-dig.
Oh, and I'll serve it with a side of Motrin and a mask.:lmao:

A friend of my DD's14 said that in her school over the huge Purell bottle is a sign that reads:
"Purell- killing Swine one drop at a time."

Our school seemed to have more kids out sick over the first month. I didn't think there was much going around now. Well, not as much anyway. The nurse just told me there is a stomach thing going around. :sad2: He hasn't thrown up yet. He just doesn't want to eat and he's really tired. Temp is only hovering around 100 or so. Not sure I should give him anything for it for fear it will upset his stomach further. . . :confused3

I just emailed DS10's teacher so she could tell him that his brother won't be on the bus this afternoon. He would freak if he got on the bus and didn't see his little brother. He's my worrier!

That's what I am hoping for, that the DHS crowds won't be like we saw in January on Fantasmic day. Hopefully they will be a little more spread out over the week.

Thanks for joining the party!! :cool1::woohoo:

Hey my Tastefully Simple party guests items just arrived Fed Ex. You don't think they will mind if we break into their dips and stuff for this little party, do you?! :rotfl:

Thanks. I hope so too. My kids normally get over stuff fast. Actually they are normally pretty healthy. The only school days they have missed over the last 2 school years have been for Disney! So, hopefully this will go away fast. Whatever it is. :confused3 If he still doesn't feel well tomorrow I will call the doctor. I don't want to take any chances this close to vacation.

Looks like trick or treating may be out for this weekend. :sad2: And the school parties are tomorrow. I better watch him close, he may tell me he feels better just to go to school for that.
