A Polynesian Escape Dining Review May 09

After a few fun hours at TL the next day we decided to hope on the monorail and try Cosmic Rays for lunch. I had heard good reviews and also heard about a toppings bar. We we got in the door this place was huge and very busy. We both ordered double cheeseburgers/fries and the lowfat brownies for dessert. These were packaged and I threw mine away. We found a small table and watched the entertainment. The burgers were good, just too big for me. I would never order a double but on the dining plan why not. The burger also had bacon on it. Overall it was a good lunch, nothing great.

I rate Cosmic Rays a 7 out of 10.

So for dinner we had a 7:20 ressie for Chefs De France. I know Remy would not be there, but that was okay We were seated promptly and had a tiny table just like in Paris! Our waiter was very nice and he was from Paris as well. We each ordered one of my favorites beers 1664 and ice teas. The waiter brough out fresh bread which was very good.

I ordered the shrimp and scallops which were in a beef broth, with rose mary and potatos. It was delicious and healthy as well.

My DH ordered the steak with potatos and green beens. I tasted it and it was wonderful.

For dessert I had the crepe and ice cream and my DH had some sort of cake.

The desserts were nothing to great, which was disappointing.

The lady and her mother next to us were from San Antonio too! It's a small world isn't it! We really enjoyed visiting with them and hope they enjoyed the rest of their magical stay.

I give Chefs De France a 7 out 10. It was good but not excellent. Maybe if I had seen Remy than it would have received higher marks.
