Feel free to make suggestions! This plan is still in progress. Airfare and hotel are not even booked but I am working from the presumption that we are going May 5th-12th and staying at a 2 bedroom at Wyndham Bonnet Creek resort.
It is our 4th trip to Disney - the first being a make a wish trip in 2007.
it will be me, my husband , my two daughters 2 & 8 and my mother who has never been to Disney.

We are doing a lot of things differently than in the past and skipping some things. First time off sight & without dining plan (besides GKTW on MAW), first time the whole family hasn't went to Universal for a day (just dh is going) First time not ding park Hoppers - but we'll add them if we decide we need them and we are doing the waterpark fun and more option. Also we always do BBB and chef Mickeys but are skipping both this trip.

So the plan .. first draft ... plenty of potential to change.

Saturday - arrival - haven't booked airfare yet but I am definitely trying for an early arrival.
Dinner ADR at 1900 Park Faire
MK for parade & maybe Wishes

Sunday Epcott (recommended day)
RD for FW - Ride Soarin, Nemo, living with the land, spaceship Earth ... do Character spot ... maybe turtle talk with Crush ..
Lunch -ADR at Le Cellier - I don't really want to spend the money on this but dh really wants to go.

Afternoon - Maybe waterpark for a couple hours ... or rest back at resort
PM - back to Epcott for Illuminations and ideally we'll have FP for a couple rides.

Monday
RD at AK (recommended day) Safari (maybe twice), Kali river rapids, lion king show, everest just for DH, dinosaur for adults, Characters, jungle parade.

Maybes : flights of wonder, raffiki's conservation station, one of the two trails ... the boneyard play ground, triceratops spin.
I am thinking we will stay here all day - maybe not til park close but until we're ready to go back to the hotel for the day.
I am debating making ADR's for Tusker house character lunch.

Tuesday -
RD at Hollywood studios (recommended day)
Toy story ride, characters, headliners for dh & maybe my mom, Voyage of little mermaid, disney Jr live on stage,
Maybe - parade, disney channel rocks, one man's dream, great movie ride, honey I shrunk the kids playground - maybe try and sign dd up for Jedi training.

afternoon - back to hotel? waterpark?

PM- back to HS for Fantasmic and ideally we might have TS fastpasses for all of us and maybe some thrill ride FP for dh

Weds -
dh day for Universal
the rest of us MK (recommended)
pre-open ADR at CRT
Rapunzel M&G if same as now
Fastpasses for Mickey/princesses
Fantasyland rides
Planning to make barbershop appointments for both girls - first hair cut for my youngest.
Maybe : mickeys philharmonic, monsters inc laugh show, Buzz lightyear ride

I think we'll just stay until we feel done - and then head back to the resort for an early night. OR depending on when dh gets done we might do downtown disney or head over to visit give kids the world.

Thursday :
Epcott world showcase day - recommended
Going to play it by ear.
Maybe breakfast at Kona and then WS right at 11
Maybe breakfast at Kona - waterpark for a few hours - and then over to epcott through evening.
Maybe World showcase at 11 - and then give kids the world in the evening
Depending on what we;ve done so far and how we are feeling.

Friday :
MK at rope drop
Headliners for dh and maybe my mom
tomorrow land speedway for kids
adventureland rides and Tom Sawyer Island
any fantasyland rides we missed or want to hit again
haunted mansion - maybe a few characters we missed ...

and I am making appointments for the girls and maybe me at the pirates league.
Not sure if we will stay at Mk all day - or take an afternoon break and go back - or just go for the daytime and then at night do GKTW, or downtown disney or just hang out at the resort ... again depending on which we havent done yet.
I am also thinking of getting tickets for La Nouba for all of us and calling it a mother's day gift to my mom, and myself :)

Saturday - hoping for a evening flight
sat morning : breakfast ADR at Ohana

and then whatever we haven't gotten to yet ... a park we didn't finish, or a waterpark or downtown disney. We want to check out Disneyquest at some point too.

Does this sound reasonable? The parks open at 9 while we're there so they're not super early mornings and they're not open all that late either. My 2 year old will be almost 3 when we go and right now she is just napping some days. When she does nap she stays up late-ish and when she doesn't she goes to bed earlier.
Neither me nor the kids ride any of the bigger thrill rides - except Soarin - and I'll go on Dinosaur. My mom might like to go on some of them and my husband definitely wants to. If we don't need them for something else he utilizes our tickets to get extra fastpasses for himself. My youngest isn't tall enough to go on a lot of them so we can utilize baby swap when needed as well. My 8 year old loves the characters and getting autographs. I am thinking my youngest will too and hoping she's not afraid of them.
