A Pirate's Life for Me remix?

When we were at the P&PP, I kept hearing a different version of the Yo ho, yo ho, a Pirate's Life for Me. It had the same words, but it was faster and had more "yo ho's" in it if I'm explaining it right. They kept playing near the castle and my DD had a lot of fun dancing to it and now I want to download it or buy it. Anyone know where I can find it?

I know about lots of Disney music, but your description is so sparse its hard to know which version you heard.

I DOUBT that this is the cut you heard (I think this one is pretty BAD, but hey, to each...)

Also, there is a version of "Yo Ho" that they play for the pre-show music (and/or Post-show music) at Fantasmic! that may be the cut you seek.

Its up-tempo but not as "slimy" as the Jonas Brothers version above (sorry, JBs.)

I don't know on which album to find this cut, and I can't find it listed with a search, so good luck with your hunting.

There was a version done by the Pointer Sisters quite a few years ago - really good. Not sure of the CD title tho.

Ok, definitely NOT the Jonas bros LOL! That was pretty awful!

I know it's not the Pointer Sisters either.

I think it is the one that they play pre-show at Fantasmic, although I've never seen Fantasmic yet and never heard it there. I only heard it around the Castle during the P&PP, towards the end of the evening after the fireworks and everything, when they were playing a bunch of Disney music.

I'll have to watch my video tape of my DD dancing that has the song in the background to describe it better. It sounded almost like rap if that helps. In the meantime, if anyone else has any ideas, let me know.

I remember hearing it at the P&PP too. I don't have any idea who sings it. Try writing Disney and asking. It can't hurt. Let me know what you find out.

Ok, no, it definitely isn't the Pointer Sisters. I listened just to make sure. LOL

I just watched my video and it has the same music that they play during the pirate part of the parade they had during the P&PP. Then a bunch of, well, pirates I guess sing "Yo ho, yo ho, yo ho (3 times) a pirate's life for me".

Maybe it's from POTC 3 movie, which I haven't seen yet?

They don't sing Yo Ho in PotC 3.

They used it to great advantgage in PotC 1... and then completely abandoned it in the two sequels!

We bought a CD last time we were in WDW (2006) called "Disney Mania 4" it has several "updated" versions of songs. The song Yo Ho (A Pirates Life for Me) is on it and it is by The Jonas Brothers. I am pretty sure that is the song you are looking for...it is a really good version of the song and definately our favorite from the CD.

Hmm, I don't think so because I heard a clip on Amazon that Robo posted for me. The song I'm looking for is more of a rap song than punkish like the Jonas Bros. It's not really "rap" but it's the closest thing that I can think of.

Actually Jack sings just a snippet of the song at the very end of the movie (same snippet he sings at the end of the 1st film). So no, it wasn't completely abandoned.
