A Pirate and Princess Get Married...and Disneymoon! UPDATE 6/15 DAY 3 PART 2

Thanks so much Blue! I'm bringing my laptop on the honeymoon so I'll definitely have some for you ASAP!

That is exciting but if you don't get to it until you are home for a while we will understand. Did you book a limo yet? Tomorrow I get to go see the draft of my invitations.

Okay...I feel like the world's biggest dunce. Here I am PMing you begging for a trip report about your honeymoon/wedding and BAM...you have already started a pretrip report! HA HA HA. I am so on top of things!:sad2: ;)

Well CINDERBUNNY (is that how you spell it?! AND how CUTE is that!! I love his nickname for you!) I am so excited to read another one of your reports!! You are one of my "top of the list" TR writers! I just love the way you make me feel like I am there.

Also, Jeremy provides tons of comic relief and well, you guys are just too cute together!

I sat here and devoured all 5 pages at once...so please ;) make more! ;)popcorn::

OH Fun Stuff :yay: :dance3:

So will we get a few live reports as well???

Your ticker says 12 more days. You must be going crazy with excitement!!!!!

Excitement doesn't even begin to explain the feeling! I'm going out of my mind!!!! And yes, there will be a few live reports!

Only 12 more days then everything will be totally stress free. I don't understand the current cake thing. I just want something simple and elegant, not crazy. I want the center of attention to be me, not the cake!

Indy is my 2nd fave ride at DL. Get there first because you have to see it. And if you want to see any of Fantasyland, do it during EE or early in morning. No FP on Peter Pan means super long lines all day. Hope you enjoy the fireworks. I am so lame; I cry every time I watch them.

Bambara is New American. Here's the menu. I highly recommend it, and I highly recommend reservations. It is one black west of your hotel.

For something simpler, I recommend Stoneground on 400 South between 2nd and 3rd East. Best tiramasu I have ever had. Ordering drinks there is funny, though, b/c of their liquor license. Like you can't order a mixed drink like a Cosmo, but you can order cranberry juice with vodka, triple sec and lime. Yeah, they aren't lying when they say Utah have weird liquor laws. I am sure they could do Bacardi and Diet Coke for you, though!

Exactly how I feel about the Cake! So many of the designs I were seeing were like something you would see out of Alice in Wonderland. Now, that's certainly fun for a trip at Disney but not for the wedding cake! I cry everytime I see Wishes so I know exactly what you mean! We're definitely going to try to hit all the long line rides first thing in the morning.

The Bambara menu looks pretty good, maybe we'll check it out. The liquor laws definitely do sound crazy though! :rotfl:

I'm definitely going to do a few live reports. I can't promise they'll be as detailed as say, Montana Disney Fan, but I'll do my best.

Finally we booked a limo. We were going crazy because we're having the ceremony as the same place as the reception so the limo only has to take us from point A to point B but still want to be paid if we need them triple the time. Finally we were able to find someone for a price that is still high, but at least bearable.

I can't wait to see your invitations. I had a hard time picking mine. There's just soooo many to choose from, it's hard to know where to begin!

There you are! I've been wondering where you've been hiding recently!

Yes, I am officially CinderBunni this and next week. I'm taking time off, after starting a new job, finding out there was no way it was going to work and then realizing there was only two weeks between now and the wedding (so obviously can't get a two week job). So I've been home from work and now CinderBunni has hit new levels as there's no reason I can't do the laundry, dishes, and all the other housework activities. :scared1: . When I haven't been going crazy planning this wedding, I've been bored out of my mind. My only respite is sitting here on Disboards going crazy with excitement!

When Jeremy and I first started dating I was living in an 600 square foot apartment with two other girls. The apartment was the size of a thumb nail to begin with, add three girls all fighting for a bathroom, and you can imagine how cramped it was. 8 months down the line and you can imagine how tight corners became when Jeremy moved in. Then one snowy Valentine's Day our little Valentine came home. Now there were four adults, and one dog living in one sad decrepit little apartment.

Eventually we were able to make our way to our own apartment and living together became a pleasant experience. Not a, I'll kill you if you come any closer kind of circumstance. We had a lovely place that aside from having ant problems in the summer, was a dream come true. However, we were over an hour away from NYC.

This really started posing a problem when I too started working in the area. Our commutes were taking 2 plus hours and it was starting to take a toll on us.

Eventually we made the decision, we had to move. Moving outside of Manhattan is a feat that shouldn't be done unless you are either A. Strong willed or B. Very wealthy. We were neither. We settled on living in an apartment in a home that, unknowingly was over 100 years old.

The year was absolute HELL. Combine the factors of a crazy landlord who would make weekly showings, horrible neighbors from the mafia (seriously), mice, and the last straw, the ceiling falling on my head while watching Cars one night and you have a brief idea of what we went through. Yes, that's right, the ceiling collapsing on my head.

Finally, that nightmare is over and thanks to some very generous relatives and a few strokes of luck and we have a beautiful home. Our experiences only made us treasure our piece of heaven more.

So for those of you who asked, here are a few pictures.

A few Disney touches. The first is an Ostrich Egg painted at the AKL, the rest are carvings bought at the AKL carved in Kenya.

I didn't take pictures of the bedrooms because quite honestly they're empty aside from a bed! It is going to take us years to furnish this place!

I love your kitchen!!!! Your whole house is beautiful also.

I was able to see my invitations today but they were faxed to the store so it was in black and white but they looked nice. The lady at the store said they should be in by the end of the week so I will take some pictures when they come in.

I am glad you were able to get a limo and that stinks they are charging you for such a long time. I too am getting married at the same place I am having the reception but luckily they are only charging us from my parents house to the wedding...but it is still expesive!!!

Hope the next few days go by without any problems.

I love those pictures! What a beautiful abode!! What a welcoming home!! And you are Betty Crocker to top it all off...check those cupcakes out!!:thumbsup2

Great pics of the house. My dh and I felt so good when we bought our first place. Nothing like no more rent and being able to poke holes in the walls!

The kitchen is my love of life recently. What is the design on your invitations? As for the limo it seems overpriced is the name of the game for weddings!

Thank you! I actually love to bake, which isn't a good mix with a wedding dress to put on! So Easter was my last time, but after the wedding I'll be whipping up some more goodies :goodvibes

WHY have I not read your wedding TR until now??? (Kicks self.) I'm so excited for you! Cake is lovely, new pad is lovely. Cute doggie too!!

I totally feel your pain with the family stuff. I hated our wedding and couldn't wait for it to be over and the honeymoon to start (long story). I'm agnostic and DH is atheist but his parents made us get married in a church and use their reverend or whatever and we had to do religious marital counseling. YUCK! BUT your wedding day will be amazing and you have a super-sweet trip to look forward to! I went to Disneyland in 2001 but haven't been to DCA so I'm dying to read all about it. But more than that I can't wait to see your wedding photos!

CONGRATULATIONS and I can't wait to read more! It's SO CLOSE!!!!!! Hang in there with the multiple stresses - SOON YOU'LL BE IN DISNEY!

P.S. - Have you seen that new line of Disney Princess wedding gowns? I want one of those! I told DH that we need a vow renewal at WDW on our 5 year anniversary!!!

The kitchen is going to be a deciding factor when I finally buy a house...nothing is better than a nice kitchen.

As for my invitations I actually just got a call telling my they came in so I will post a picture tomorrow. But it is embossed with a hear and a bride and groom. I was starting to have a hard time finding one I like. The ones that I really like had calla lilies on it but they were sooooooo expensive. What do yours look like???

Wow it's all getting really close.

The house looks great, I remember moving into our first house..:scratchin

Looks like you are in for some good weather out this way

Low 70's during the day with nights in the mid 50's

Wow, this TR is really exciting! Your wedding is so close!!! And your home is beautiful... I love the floors (I know that's sort of a weird thing to say, but I do). Oh, and I have that giraffe from AK, too!!

Anyway, I can't wait to hear more! :)

Hi Criminy! Happy to see you're jumping on board- I absolutely LOVED your TR about Tokyo Disney. I hope one day we'll make it out there, Disney Sea looks awesome- I especially loved your detailed explanation about the King Triton area, "under the sea". Sounds so fun!

Weddings are so stressful. It's always something. I honestly think I'll just be really relieved when it's over!

I haven't seen the new line of Princess wedding gowns, but I did hear about them. I'm going to have to google them!
