Some of you might remember me from our last trip reports. For those of you who don't let me introduce myself.

Hi, I'm Katie. If I had to be compared to a character my fiancée might tell you I'm a bit like Tinkerbell. I think I'll stick with Cinderella :rotfl: However, now my fiancée calls me "CinderBunni do the dishes, do the laundry" (as Bunni is my nickname he's given me). I don't think so!

Did I mention I love Pluto?

Then there's Jeremy who thinks himself quite like Jack Sparrow, which in a lot of ways he is, but I think overall he's more of a Winnie the Pooh/Stitch mix. Quite contradictory I know, but that's my Jeremy.

Of the two of us I'm the more sentimental type. I care about people and love children as I'm soon to be a certified teacher. I can do quite a bit of shopping and would travel most of the year if I could. As Jeremy likes to say, I love to hemorrhage money.

Jeremy on the other hand is more of the straight and narrow. He works for a financial company in Jersey City (thank god) as they've moved most of the NYC financial buildings over the water after 911.

Recently we also moved to Jersey City. Jersey City is the city directly across the water from Manhattan. Before 911 it was quite a scary place, however since all of the buildings were put in, it's become very beautiful. I'll post pictures of our new home very soon as I'm quite proud of it!

Jeremy and I met, of all places, at a fraternity party at Rutgers University. Jeremy had just graduated from TCNJ and was working on Wall Street crazy hours and was dragged to the party by his friends much to his chagrin.

I, interestingly also didn't go to Rutgers (Montclair State wooo hooo!) and was going to this party for a friend of mine.

When I first saw Jeremy he was sitting on a couch lying down in the middle of all of the lovely frat mayhem trying to take a nap. I was quite tired and asked him to please move a bit (as he was taking up the entire couch) so I would be able to sit. We started talking and next thing you know, three years down the line and we're getting married.

With one small addition to the family.

Initially we toyed around with the idea of having a Disney Wedding. I really wanted one more than anything, even if it meant eloping. Sadly, Jeremy didn't feel the same way. I tried and pushed but it wasn't going to happen. We definitely didn't have the funds to fly everyone out to Disney and Jeremy wanted his family to share our day (understandable).

So, we decided since we would be paying for our wedding to have a small one (35 people) only family and closest friends. I wanted a church, Jeremy didn't. Jeremy is half Jewish and technically half catholic although really he is agnostic. I also am agnostic but my family always wanted me to marry in a church. Eventually Jeremy was fine with all of this until his family told him they would not go to the wedding if it was in a church. :confused3 This started to pose a problem for us. Thankfully, we were able to come to a compromise. We are getting married this May 05th (less than three weeks away!) outside in a beautiful gazebo at the facility our reception is to take place in. All is well in the world.

Since we aren't able to go to Disney to get married, you know we wanted to go to Disney for the honeymoon. We toyed around with staying at the deluxe hotels for a ten night stay and then decided to check out Disneyland. If we were going to Disneyland it would be much cheaper. We'd also be able to go to Las Vegas and the national parks (Zion, Bryce, Park City, Grand Teton and Yellowstone) for a grand total three week honeymoon and it would still be cheaper then the 10 days at Disney! Geez!

We chose three weeks.

We will be spending the first five nights of our honeymoon in Anaheim. We're completely excited. Initially the plan was to stay at the Grand Californian for four nights (and not leave the morning after our night time wedding). Then we heard from a fellow Goofster that there wouldn't be fireworks during the week! :scared1: I am a fireworks person! I can't even imagine not seeing fireworks at Disney! Very scary indeed!

So we decided we must leave Sunday even if it meant not getting any sleep after the wedding.

Then we started having to pay for things for the wedding. Little by little, or shall I say thousand by thousand our bank account chip, chip, chipped away.

Jeremy and I had a little conversation that night...

Jeremy: Well how much is that Grand Californian hotel costing us anyway?
Me: panicking, oh no! Don't look in his eye, don't look in his eye. ::clear throat:: What honey?
Jeremy I asked how much it's costing to stay at that hotel
Me Well honey it's so beautiful and it's convenient and, and
Jeremy Kate......how much??
Me ::And I heard it rush out of my mouth:: Just under $3,000.
Jeremy WHHHHHHHHHHHAT?!? Tell me that includes dining Kate!
Me Well, that's the thing Disneyland doesn't really have a dining plan....
Jeremy So let me get this straight, we're going to be spending $3,000 the first five out of 22 days of our trip?

And that's when we booked a five night stay at the always lovely HoJo's directly across the street from the beautiful glorious Grand Californian.

What Jeremy doesn't know is that if we get any nice checks at the wedding we'll still be staying there. :rolleyes1

YAY! SO excited to read about your disneymoon adventures! i have never been to DL so this will be a real treat :cool1:

Ooooh, I am so glad to see you started your pre-trippie. I still find it so funny that you are taking our regular trips for your honeymoon, and we are taking your more regular trip for our honeymoon. Yeah, it doesn't take much to amuse me. ;)

HoJo's has a Mousesaver rate, if you didn't know. We haven't stayed there (loyal CCI people), but I hear it is a great rate with that discount.

Can't wait to see you new house pics. And hear more details about the wedding. (I need ideas!!!) Good to hear you got all the family happy. I know how stressful that is.

I am so happy you are writing another trip report. I really enjoyed reading your last one. :thumbsup2

 I loved your last TR and I can't wait to read all the details for your wedding and Disneymoon!:surfweb: I hope you have a beautiful day! Congrats!:cloud9:

Hi Goofster, I definitely think I'm going to do a complete Trip Report so that Jeremy and I always have it and of course for you guys too :goodvibes . Thanks for the update, I can't wait to see the fireworks. I'm just upset Fantasmic and Splash Mountain will be closed! I guess that'll be something for next time. Now please go update your TR!

Thanks! We went to Disneyland the first year we were dating for 2 days and absolutely loved it, even though we weren't able to do much. I'll take lots and lots of pictures for you!

Oh yeah I remember more...wasn't it your soon to be DH that drank the syrup of Ipecac to make himself throw up and then had to get a shot at the clinic to get that coveted Doctors excuse so you could go on your last trip??? :lmao: :rotfl:

I know, it's ironic, don't ya think :). I'll definitely check out Mousesavers...it's the one Disney website I always forget about. Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to take the pictures of the house today and hopefully have them up tonight, if not then definitely tomorrow. And yes, accomodating the two families is VERY stressful

You leave in 6 days!!!! Ahh! I must wiz straight over to your pre-trip report plans. Hope you have a wonderful trip and thanks for reading!

Aww thank you! I'd love to show you pictures of the dress right this second but Jeremy checks my postings and I'm a firm believer that he cannot see the dress till the day of the wedding, so no spoiler's sadly! However I will say that it's strapless tight at the top and waist and flows out with lots of crystal beadwork :goodvibes And yes, Jeremy is the poisoner

Awww thats sweet, well then I can't wait to see your post wedding pics, I bet you both will look gorgeous!
I thought he was the "sick" one, that was still one of the funniest things I have ever read! Looking forward to your updates!

No no I mean, the poisonee. He's a bit on the silly side :dance3:

Can't wait to read more about your trip!!! I am currently planning my wedding and Disneymoon also although we are going to WDW.

I went to Disneyland for the first time last year and it was tons of fun...although I was sad b/c Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain were closed when I went.

Can't wait to read more!!!

My parents and I do not agree on things, but they have been very gracious about doing it my way, even though they are paying for part of it. So that's good. But I am still going crazy trying to make everyone happy.

I'm soooo excited!!! After you last TR I can't imagine NOT reading about your crazy adventures on your honeymoon!!!
(hopefully Jeremy won't have to throw up to go on this trip :lmao:)
