A Pirate and a Princess Go to the World......Updated Ch. 12/pics/COMPLETE

I thought my ds and I were the only ones who like the Circle Of Life movie.:rotfl2: The first time we took him to see it he was 5, oh good lord did we create a recycling guru. It's good though and he is still a great recycler. If he finds garbage on the ground he says "look mom someone is littering on our earth, can you believe that?" then he goes and picks it up and throws it away. :smokin: He just told me I had to put the smoking smilie on because it's putting pollution in the air, he is making a statement.

We love the Garden Grill too. We always have the best charecter interaction there, not to mention the food is great too!

When we arrived a nice couple came over to us and asked if it was just the two of us. We said yes and the kind couple gave us a pair of dream Fastpasses they had won. They explained they weren't really roller coaster people and that they wanted to pass on the magic. Score!!!

What a nice surprise, it’s always neat to meet other people with the “Magic” spirit.

Finally we collapsed in the room and watched tv. There was this really interesting movie on Lifetime (men hold all snickers) that we really both enjoyed.

Jeremy say it isn’t so….:confused3 :rotfl:

Are you kidding???? SCORE is right! :cool1:

That's so nice of them! And so lucky of yall to be the recipient of that!!!!

Now, get to writing more---- I'm so entertained!!!! I love reading your report!!! :hourglass

Oooh, dream fastpasses! How cool! That was so nice of someone to pass them on!!!

Can't wait to hear about the shenanigans at the Adv Club!!

Shilo is good for the price. The location is excellent, though -- right in the middle of downtown. I will make you a list of possible things to do. I am assuming you will have a car? Then you should definitely take the 20-minute drive to Park City - tons of outdoorsy stuff there.

Great, we're really looking foward to staying there. That sounds wonderful, thansk so much and yes we will have a car. I'm actually going to google park city right now :) thanks again!

Another fun episode! Thanks for the smiles. I used to think the very name bread pudding was utterly revolting. Somehow, the two words don't seem to belong together. But when made well, especially with the creamy sauce on top, bread pudding is far from revolting. In fact it's very GOOD! :thumbsup2

Yes, it does sound nasty doesn't it?...kind of like figgy pudding, plum pudding or rice pudding...all of them sound terrible! ::yes::

Hi darling! So i just caught up on your trip report! Its wonderful BTW. Dream Fastpasses! I am absolutely SO jealous of you! Todd and I were on a mission during our trip to get some. Every CM we passed we gave these insanely maniacal smiles to. Needless to say, No dream fastpasses for us!

Hahahaha. There's always next trip babe

That's soooooo cute. You obviously have a wonderful son :goodvibes . I'm glad to know that there's others out there who appreciate this video too. We agree, the Garden Grill character interaction is wonderful, we love the booths also because it seperates you from the rest of the restaurant. Unlike other character dining where you can see all the characters so you just kind of watch them interact with others while waiting for them, instead of enjoying the company of the people you're with!

Yes, it was really nice of them and we were absolutely thrilled. As for Jeremy he claims he hates Lifetime, the Oxygen network, etc.......but is it really true? :scratchin

Okay, Park City. It has a really great Main Street with a lot of one of a kind clothing and art stores. Plus, a lot of great restaurants and some good bars. Remind me to explain this whole Utah private club thing to you at one point -- if you're going to drink, you need to know.

If you are adventurous, you can rent mountain bikes and take ski lifts to the top of the hill and ride down. There's an alpine slide and a zip line and some other stuff like that at one of the ski resorts. There is also an Olympic Park/Museum. They do summer training there, so you can watch the ski jumpers go down the jumps and land in the pool. It is really cool to see actually. They even let you try it out yourself for a fee. You can also pay to try out a bobsled and go down the bobsled run. Surprisingly, for a ski resort town, there is a ton of stuff to do in the summer.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...you are timing this report perfectly, thank you very much!! 2 weeks from today, at this moment, my little family and I should be pulling up to the gates of POR. :cool1:

Now don't hate me 'cause I'm going so soon...you were just there!!!:goodvibes

Keep up the great work...love reading about your adventures.

PS Never say never about Ellen's little foray into energy...this has become my 6 yr old DD's second favorite place to visit(right behind Test Track):confused3 You just never know what the future holds for you two!!(But I am sure it will be Disney-filled:wizard: )

I just started looking into Park City and it looks really cool, thanks soooo much for suggesting it, I'm really exciting. It sounds really fun to go see the Olympic trainers too, how fun and interesting! Wow, the bobsled thing sounds really cool too! That's definitely a once in a lifetime experience :goodvibes Everything sounds really fun!

Thanks for reading PKWallaby- I'm so jealous that you get to leave so soon, and I know you're going to have a fantastic time! That's cute that your DD loves Universe of Energy....don't see it myself, hope the whole next generation doesn't agree !!! :scared1:

  I found your TR. I know I am late to the party but enjoying it all the same. What fun.:goodvibes

Your guy must have been desperate for a Disney fix....or he just wants to make you happy. I cannot believe what he went through to get out of work!!!! :lmao: :thumbsup2 He's my hero!

I would love to do the Pirate & Princess Party. I have read great reviews but also have heard they were poorly attended.:confused3

BTW, what an absolutely adorable couple you are. Congrats on the upcoming wedding. Best of everything to you both pixiedust:
My DH & I celebrate our 20th next month:eek: ...can't believe it. Time flies when your having fun. :cloud9: If I had my time to do over I would have chosen WDW for my honeymoon...DH agrees. We didn't even consider it...we were . :crazy2: .

We are debating where to stay for our next trip and thinking of POR or POFQ. It sounds like you enjoyed it. Which one would you pick or would you stay there again?

Thanks for sharing your TR and pictures...looking forward to more!!!

Hi Cherrokeemamma! Thanks so much for reading! When you responded I couldn't figure out why your name looked so familiar so I clicked on the link to your TR and voila! There I found you had posted an update! :cheer2: I absolutely loved reading your TR all fall and am so psyched that you're back to finish it up! The Pirate and Princess Party was dead but thats what added to the magic for us. When we went to the Christmas Party it was packed so it made it very difficult to see/do anything/everything. Hopefully they'll have the party again next year, anticipating that it might take a year to build up the hype. Thanks so much, we're so excited for the wedding! It's so soon! Congrats on your anniversary!! Also, if I had kids I would probably stay at POFQ just because they have a really fun pool area, however I do think that POR is more romantic so it's a tough decision!

As you know we (well I) was really getting sucked into this movie on Lifetime. The movie was called Killing Mr. Griffin and it had a pretty impressive cast for a Lifetime movie (Scott Bairstow, Michelle Williams, Amy Jo Johnson, and Mario Lopez). It sounds corny but I swear it's worth watching!

Jeremy was bugging me to get ready so finally I pryed my way from the bed. After all there's only so much justification you can give to being a couch potato at Disney World!

I had only half an hour to get ready which for me isn't the most realistic situation but somehow I pulled through and we made our way back to EPCOT.

We were running a little behind so we made our way straight over to Le Cellier once entering the park. What a beautiful restaurant! I loved the theme. I loved the dim lights and the brown hues. Really, what a terrific restaurant, I can't say enough positive things!

There was a bit of a wait even with ADR's so the hostess was playing a trivia game about Canada. Jeremy got them all right (did I ever mention that he has the IQ of a genius?....seriously though) so the hostess finally shot him a look as if to say "shut it buckaroo". He grumbled but obliged. Poor hubby.

We were seated Probably after 15 minutes in the back of the restaurant in a little nook which was perfect for us. Very romantic  We had a wonderful waitress and couldn't have been happier. This was definitely the dining highlight of the trip.

By the way, the soda bread here really is as good as all the hype about it on the disboards! We ended up asking for seconds, and thirds!

I ordered the shrimp cocktail with wasabi sauce and the filet and Jeremy ordered the salmon tartare and another kind of filet. EVERYTHING was wonderful! (sorry no pics!). Dessert again was great. I had a blueberry cobbler and Jeremy had a wonderful chocolate cake. This restaurant is a must do for every trip we take from here on out. Honestly, I can't believe it doesn't count as 2 CS.

After dinner we wandered around World Showcase for awhile because they were having extra magic hours. Blah. What's the use of having extra magic hours if NOTHING is open? Seriosuly, nothing around all of World Showcase was open!! What a waste! Nothing about this screamed extra or magic to me. If anything it was under, staffed. We made it to Japan before deciding A) It was freezing and B) There was nothing here to do anyway.

We decided we weren't ready to go back to the hotel yet so we decided to see what was happening over at Pleasure Island, regardless of the fact that we had been walking in the parks all day and were still in sweat pants! Hey this isn't NY they won't throw us out! :rotfl2:

We were close to the international gateway so we thought the easiest way to get to Pleasure Island would be to take the gateway to one of the resort hotels and from there to take a bus. This ended up taking a VERY long time and I would not suggest it under any circumstances.

We got off at the Boardwalk and went inside this hotel for the first time. I was very impressed, regardless of the fact that this is NOTHING like what the actual boardwalk looks like!

By the time we made it to Pleasure Island we were freezing and were in need of something bubbly :cutie:

We wanted to go to the Comedy Club but after buying passes we just missed the show, so we ended up going to the Adventurer's Club for awhile. What an interesting place!

P2020434.jpg

We wandered around exploring for awhile and then entered the show but there was a really big group of obnoxious young people that were unreal. I'm honestly suprised they weren't kicked out. I can't stand people like that. I used to work in a bar and that irks me beyond anything in this world. Loud drunks. Ugh...my god I like to drink but that's a whoooooooollllle different experience.

No flames here, but we honestly weren't...well I honestly wasn't really enjoying the humour of the show anyway so we ended up leaving, also because we definitely didn't want to miss the next (and last) showing at the Comedy Warehouse!

We made our way over and we were let in soon after. I really liked the interior of this place. We went to take a seat in the back but the CM Nazi screamed that we had to sit in the very front row. Ugh! I hate sitting in front row of comedy shows because inevitably you get sucked into the act. Sometimes I don't mind, i.e. when I don't look like I just rolled out of bed, but today I really didn't want to. No choice though, the CM Nazi watched us until we were seated and had our drink order. On a more positive note, they had cute little decorations everywhere making it very festive.

Before long the comediens came out and asked the audience to share funny stories that had happened to them on this trip. Jeremy wanted to volunteer his poisoning story but I begged with him not to. People were sharring some pretty wild things so a half hour and two drinks later I gave in. Jeremy told the whole story...upon hitting the punch line, the butt shot, Jeremy real proud of himself looked over his shoulder expecting to see roaring laughter filling the crowd. What he got back was a room full of shocked and horrified faces. Men covering their wives ears, children running and screaming. No one found this the least bit humourous, if anything they found it very sick. I could see it now, security guards being rushed to the scene

"sir come with us, we can find help for you"
"No, no I really don't need help"
"They all say that sir, dear god man we can find you a path to sanity!"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOO"

Poor Jeremy......we had absolutely dead air. :sad2:

After that the show basically lost it's charm for us because Jeremy felt a little abashed. Poor guy. Dejected, we finally called it a night, took a taxi and fell straight to sleep.

Up Next: Finally going to MGM!

I find Jeremy's fake-y poisoning story and butt shot funny..so there no sense of humor comedy club people!!!
YAY for LeCellier..can't wait to try that place :)

How could people not find that funny? I was laughing so hard when I read that part of your TR. We loved LeCellier too, going back in Aug. can't wait!
